Dear Narasimha, Sanjay Rath and all Jyotish Gurus,

Astrologers , especially in the four sourthern states of India, observe the

aspect of Shashtaashakam more seriously while matching the groom's horoscope

with that of the bride's.

That is when the moon in the boy's horoscope is in the 6th house when

counted from the moon in the bride's horoscope. In this situation, the

astrologers, in south India, strongly tend to recommend not to go ahead with

the alliance matters, even though the other aspects of the matching are very

favourable.

I would appreciate if this aspect is clarified and what are the implications

of "shashtaashtakam", on the bridegroom or the bride or both, if the

alliance is proceeded with. This will help the parents of the bride in

particular, to highlight the good aspects to the groom's side and save a

potential marriage.

Thanks in advance

dear mr. gopal,

my case is rasi - shashtaashtakam and lagna - dwirdwadasam. before marriage

the charts are tallied and astrologers had given green signal for the

marriage. also, i have no bad experience due this state till date may be

because of other planetary positions. fyi please.
