Dear Chandrashekhar, Sarajit, Laurie and others,

Thank you much for your replies. I am putting my questions and more

info for you in this one reply:

1) First, you are all very clear that pearl is not the solution. I

dont understand that very well. Like I said, her OCD is "fear of

disease and suffering". It is not an excessive desire type OCD -

which is why I suspected the Moon - imbalances in the mind rather

than in desires (Venus). Additionally, B.V.Raman has stated in

several places I think that mental health issues always involve

heavily afflicted Moon and/or Mercury. Is it because Moon rules the

7th and is a maraka (I thought I read somewhere that Sun and Moon

never act as marakas)? Or is it because Moon being a benefic rules a

quadrant? If benefics rule only quadrants do they functionally have

some maleficence?

2) Secondly, the problems may have first surfaced rarely but never

seriously during childhood (this is in response to

Chandrashekar's "when did they first surface.."). The really bad time

was actually in late 1994 and 1995. Sat-Sat and early Sat-Merc in

Vimsottari terms. Sat-Venus was actually quite good. Can you explain

this? In terms of Narayan dasa, it appears to be Pi-Sc - again kind

of confuses me.

3) Thirdly, as Laurie privately noted, Ketu is exalted Mokshakaraka

in 12th house, so I am guessing capacity for spirituality is high

(though not exercised well yet). So I am definitely very keen on

worship of Ishta Devata, especially since it is definitely involved

in the problem. To this end, I need elaboration on Sarajit's "worship

of Annapoorneshwari" remedy - I am sorry, I am a little uneducated in

this matter - what exactly should be done (in some detail) and how

does it correlate with Venus in Sagittarius (Navamsa position of

Ishta-Devata)? I will definitely comply with your instructions.

Ideally I was looking for some mantra that was correct for her name

and specifically took into account that her Ishta devata was Venus

and in Sagittarius. I also personally like meditative recital since

it (seems to me) to bring awareness.

4) Also evidently since she is never married and Upapada is Leo,

which is aspected both by Saturn and Jupiter, doesn't seem badly

afflicted. But Sun itself is in "sankranti" (as noted by Laurie) and

the 5th house is in Papakartari with Mars and Rahu. Which one (or

both) is more importantly the reason for Upapada affliction? What

should be done about it?

thank you very much again

New Delhi newspaper many years ago with the view of helping others

who might have a hard time recognizing and dealing with similar

problems. There is no real problem right now - she is a talented

artist and an experienced producer of well known TV programs and

documentary films. However, with my continuing increased interest in

astrology, I would like to constructively figure out the right gem to

wear and perhaps some mantras to recite. The general interest to this

group is that they can see a chart with OCD - please no blanket

public pronouncements couched in negativity though - I am listening.

Her chart is attached, unrectified of course (for rectification

purposes, she is the eldest of three children - 2 daughters and 1 son

(me) and I'm the youngest, and of course her career is in the

unmarried - my other sister and I are in the US). My rectified chart

(by Zoran hence reliable) is also attached.

Rahu is the Atmakaraka so obviously this problem is severe and key to

her existence. Moon in the 6th also seems to ratify the obsession

with disease. Also, if not for the Moon, there would be a Kala Sarpa

Yoga, I think. So, all the more, it seems to me that the solution

lies in strengthening the Moon since it additionally is a natural

benefic and perhaps also functional since it rules the 7th. If you

agree, would the right stone be pearl then? What hand, what finger,

what weight ("rati"s is what the jewellers seem to ask)? Also, what

Mantra? "Om Namah Shivaya" seems to me to be a safe 6 syllable mantra

which I believe will be targeted to the 6th house. However, it does

not take the name into consideration, and is not particularly

targeted at the moon etc. Her name is Renuka. Additionally please

note that she is beginning the hard part of Sade-Sati - again

pressure on the Moon. Please advise accordingly.

Dear Sundeep,

If you remember my post,I had pointed out mercury too contributing to her

problems and Saturn as Lord of the Asendant would give contra results in its

own Antar in its Mahadasha. Moreever Saturn aspecting it both natally and in

transit around the time indicated by you(Late 1994-1995) aggravated the

problems.

Jaya JagannathDear Sundeep,

1. Timing the problem: Now which dasa can manifest such problem is the question.

Once we have identified the source of the problem it becomes very simple. I said

that the source of trouble is the 5th house and 5th lord. The troubles of the

planet shall manifest in the following planet's periods:

a. Malefics placed in the Kendra or kona to the troubled house (also the

malefics are not the lord or the karaka of the house under consideration)

b. Malefics aspecting the troubled house (again they should not be the

karaka or the lord of the house)

c. The trouble maker (The planet who is creating the trouble- here it is Rahu).

Now we see that Saturn is placed in the Kendra to the lord of the 5th venus, who

is under affliction by Rahu and in Kendra to the 5th house and has the capacity

to affect those houses and the lords in its dasa. Now which antardasa?

Antardasa lord might support or oppose the dasa lord (the king of that time) and

some are compelled (where the antar lord is very weak). Now the problem

manifested, immediately the Saturn dasa started in Sat- Sat. However, the antar

of Merc should not have been that bad, as it is trying to protect the 5th house

by opposing Rahu, but the dasa lord is too strong for Mercury to protect.

However, Mars and Jupiter are strongly placed to protect the 5th house. So

their Antar shall be better.

Saturn- Venus was good because, Venus is the lord of the 5th house and shall try

protecting its house. The bad period should have been be Rahu-Venus. Please get

back, if that is correct.

2. Ista Mantra:

I am not learned in the field of worshipping. I have suggested the ISTA Devata

as per Harihara in Prasna Marga. Learned members might like to contribute on

the same.

However, she can start chanting the Dwadashakhari Ista Mantra: || Om Namo Bhagavate Hrishikeshaya ||

I wish her all the best in her recovery.

Best Wishes

Sarajit
