MARS as Yogakaraka/Badhaka - Visti, Sanjayji, Chandrashekharji, etc.

Namaskar!

 

I have Leo lagna with exalted Mars in 6th with Rahu. Lagna lord is in 3rd in

debilitation. Moon is also debilitated in 4th (scorpio). MARS is my AK too.

I can endorse your views with my experience that MARS gives me a kind of DHAMBA

(false pride), outer showiness rather than steady progress in spiritual

practices, have been to outer countries 3 times... On many occassions - feels

that whatever Mars is offering me (Good pay from employer, travel gains,

possessions, etc.) - I have to pay a price for that.

 

I'm attaching my chart here - can you, other learned members suggest me some

remedy to counter these traits & make me focus on spiritual path. My Karkamsa

is Virgo (Mars as AK is in Virgo in Navamsa). So will chanting Gayatri mantra

in the morning or giving water to Sun be good? - Propitiating SUN/RAMA as Leo

lord (12th from karkamsa)...

Dear Jay,

The example was for a king.

Mars is Karaka for fights, so any type of anger or rebellious activity excerted,

brings such a Raja Yoga to the native. Offcourse not all leos get Raja Yoga this

way, this you need to see in the chart. OFFCOURSE!

 

The Badhak Status of Mars could indicate more enemies the higher one rises, or

more problems in the family, need to travel away from home, etc. This again

needs to be seen in the chart..

I'm sure you can buy this one now.

Thanks for your response - I do not recall any similar previous question, nor

did it show at <search> in the archives.

 

Anyway, with all due respect I have a hard time "buying" into your answer (with

ref. to Leo lagna & Mars as both YK & Badhak as an example) due to the fact

that for all people born with Leo lagna "all rajyoga comes through battle and

wars, hence reaping the fruits of another countries labour..."

I assume that the majority of Leo lagna people (like others) never have anything

to do with "another countries labour" or with other countries at all (We talk

10's of millions of souls).

 

I hope you can see my point.

 

At to Mars as AK - I fully agree.

Dear Jay,

This has been asked before on the list.

It is so in many cases that the Yogakaraka is also Badhakesh, and this

indicates, that allthough the native reaps benefits, theres always a level of

badhak involved.

 

Take Leo Lagna, where Mars is Yoga Karaka due to its lordship of the 9th and 4th

houses. Leo is the king of the zodiac and Mars being YogaKaraka shows that all

rajyoga comes through battle and wars, hence reaping the fruits of another

countries labour. But after all this battle the Badhak results of Mars' 9th

lordship from Leo are going to kick in, and the native may not get the results

for themselves, and has an obligation to the people of the newly conquered

country.

If this Mars is Atmakaraka all these rajayogas are inhibiting the natives

spiritual progress.. they become their own obstacle.
