Guest guest
Hello All, Saw this and thought to respond. In all of my experience, I have found that undeniably, Mercury plays a huge role in the charts of Astrologers. Mercury' placement in the 8th or 12th houses, from either the Asc or Moon, seems to be very common. In addition, the Nodes also seems to play a role, usually in concert with Mercury. The 8th house, the House of the Occult and by extension Astrology, also plays a large role. In all of the charts of Astrologers that I have seen, Mercury, the Nodes, and the 8th house, in some way come together. In my own chart, I have Mercury in Scorpio/12th Vargottoma, aspected by Rahu from the 4th and Mercury is also in the 8th from the Moon. I have found that certain Naksatras play a role as well. Hasta, Satabisha, Aswini and Jyestha seem to be among the more prominent "Astrologer signature" stars. many prominent Astrologers tend to have placements in there stars. I myself have my Sun in Jyestha and Mars, ruler of the 5th and 12th, in the 10th in Hasta. Hope this helps. Salaam, Mu ===== Mu'Min M. Guest guest
||Om brihaspataye namah|| Dear Mu, I guess you are talking about Rasi chart about Mercury in 8th or 12th from Lagna or Moon. Admitted that Mercury is crucial as the best astrologer is actually the best learner..since the subject is so vast, the sooner he learns more the better he is. According to the Argala principle, every planet influences every house, but I agree that there should be an apparant cause (like ownership, placement or aspect) involving learning (Mercury) and the occult (8th house). I will add that is such a Mercury has the direct influence on the conscious mind and is involved in various yoga like chandra-adhi, saraswati, or other things associated with the Moon, then the level of learning shoots up. However, we need a strong Jupiter to see application of this knowledge. See Mu, based on what you say, the lagna is saggitarius. So, firstly, Moon is the 8th lord in 5th howing that this occult learning should start during one of the sub-period/period of the Moon. Check the chara-karaka position of Moon and then we know the kind of people from where this started. Further, a malfic Rahu in 4th and a benefic Moon in 5th shows partial formation of the most exquisite Matsya yoga for being a Jyotish of the highest standard. I don't know other planet positions..you can check and comment. Mercury is also involved in chandra-adhi yoga showing that you will have earned some money (sustenance-Moon) from Astrology knowledge. ...I dont know other planetary positions so cannot comment further. Please check and tell us mre about Moon and astrology studies in your life.
