Dear Santosh ji,

If a person was born on 20 November 1959, 5:35 am IST, Chittur, Kerala, India,

then the weekday of his birth is Thursday as per the Hindu calendar. It changes

to Friday at sunrise, about an hour later.

As for dasas, it depends on ayanamsa. For the data you gave, one using Lahiri

(Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa would get Ketu dasa from 2007. This will be true with

other software packages also. This is not something special with JHoraLite or

JHora.

OTOH, if you use an ayanamsa closer to Usha-Shashi ayanamsa, you will get Ketu

dasa from early 2003. I wonder what ayanamsa your Kerala astrologer used.

The software package JHora is pretty accurate, but it has a lot of options. You

can set those options based on your preferences. A lot of Vedic astrologers

prefer Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa and hence it has been decided as the

default ayanamsa. But you can change the ayanamsa option.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha
