I have read BV Raman astrological magazines.

Aryabhatt is the also the name of spacecraft launched by India

launched by India.

Let us now discuss about rotation of stars. :)

hello Aryabhatt ,

Aryabhatt was a Indian astrologer and NOT a Astronomer.

Vedic astrology is related to the Religion and spirituality

where as Astronomy is pure sciences .So there cannot be comparison

between both.

Dear Sri Sarajitji,

I completely agree with your stance of no clear-cut distinction

between mathematics and spirituality. After all, a lot of

calculations we do in Jyotish is mathematics!

On another note, I find the question posed by Aryabhattji very

intriguing. A hope some learned member of this group with a lot of

insight would atleast try to answer it to the point.

Dear list,

Aryabhatt was not an astrologer but astronomer. He gave Arya Siddhant relating

to planetary movements. There were actually two astronomers by that name. There

area was mathematical calculations pertaining to planets positions in Zodiac.

Dear Shivji,

Does Jyotish not consist of three skadhas,namely Ganit, Samhita and Hora?

Astronomy and Astrology appear to be modern divisions. At least this is what I

understand. Correct me if I am wrong.
