6H and enemies - Savitur Gayatri

Dear Ramadas,

The Gayatri Mantra for Savita (form of Surya), is given in the 5 Mandala, 82nd

hymn of the Rgveda. They are as follows:

tat savitur vRNImahe vayaM devasya bhojanam | shreSThaM sarvadhAtamaM turam bhagasya dhImahi || 1 ||

asya hi svayashastaraM savituH kaccana priyam | na minanti svarAjyam || 2 ||

sa hi ratnAni dAshuSe suvAti savitA bhagaH | tam bhAgaM citram Imahe || 3 ||

adyA no deva savitaH prajAvat sAvIH saubhagam | parA duSvapnyaM suva || 4 ||

vishvAni deva savitar duritAni parA suva | yad bhadraM tan na A suva || 5 ||

anAgaso aditaye devasya savituH save | vishvA vAmAni dhImahi || 6 ||

A vishvadevaM satpatiM sUktair adyA vRNImahe | satyasavaM savitAram || 7 ||

ya ime ubhe ahanI pura ety aprayuchan | svAdhIr devaH savitA || 8 ||

ya imA vishvA jAtAny AshrAvayati shlokena | pra ca suvAti savitA || 9 ||

The 1st mantra is in Anustup Chhanda, whereas the following ones from the 2nd to

the 9th ones are in the Gayatri Chhanda. Pandit Sanjay Rath in the book VRA,

mentions that the mantras bestow the following benefit on the native,

1st: Health and good appetite

2nd: Wealth and Prosperity

3rd: Good fotune and luck

4th: Ending bad dreams; Progeny

5th: Eradication of all evils and sins

Others: yet to be revealed...

The potency of the mantras can be understood by knowing their meaning, which follows:

1. WE crave of Savitar the God this treasure much to be enjoyed.The best,

all-yielding, conquering gift of Bhaga we would gladly win.

2. Savitar's own supremacy, most glorious and beloved of all,No one diminisheth in aught.

3. For Savitar who is Bhaga shall send riches to his worshipper.That wondrous portion we implore.

4. Send us this day, God Savitar, prosperity with progeny.Drive thou the evil dream away.

5. Savitar, God, send far away all sorrows and calamities,And send us only what is good.

6. Sinless in sight of Aditi through the God Savitar's influence,May we obtain all lovely things.

7. We with our hymns this day elect the general God, Lord of the good,Savitar

whose decrees are true.

8. He who for ever vigilant precedes these Twain, the Day and Night,Is Savitar the thoughtful God.

9. He who gives glory unto all these living creatures with the song,And brings

them forth, is Savitar.

It might be helpful if anyone wishes to know more, to go through the commentary

on the Rg Ved by Swami Dayanand Saraswati.

The Surya Mantra you gave is an invention of Mahidhara in his book Mantra

Mahodadih and he admits that. We know that there is no need of divert from the

Vedas and following anybody else. If we wish to get the blessings of the

Maharishis, we must stick to the vedas.

DHEEMAHI TANNO SURYAH PRACHODAYAAT. Now for any problems of Uterus ,you can try

this Mantra : OM PAAM PAARVATEEBHYAM NAMAH. For Diabetes,you can try this Mantra

Dear Sarajit,

Thank you very much for this Gayatri mantra- I listen one that I downloaded from

KP list- Inder Jit Sahni's excellent List, very very often- I enjoy the sounds,

I enjoy singing it, sometimes even unintentionally/the singer's voice is

heart-worming, too/

I am wondering if we could find Audio-version for this one anywhere?

On BM issue: what's the remedy, and how would one understand that when badhakesh

is in 6th- I have a friend who is very wealthy, successful, but terribly unhappy

which ruins her health, to such an extent that I was thinking that it was

somewhat 'from another side' before I've read Visti's post where he sais that

for BM one should have badhakesh in 6th. She is Taurus rising, and exalted

Saturn is 6th/along with Mars

/Plus Jupiter is in first, Venus in 7th/

I also have Venus /Cancer rising/ in 6th, with Jup.in 9th, but in either case I

don't know how to dermine 'source' /Saturn-ruled venus-ruled people, or what?,

neither do I have a clue what remedy would be, if there is any- I'd appreciate

your answer and suggestion, whenever you get a chance to write.
