Dear Sajnu

There is a difference between debating systems or methods and launching

personal attacks .

The reason why that post got me irritated was because the naasastrology

list had already closed down .

Kind regards

Nicholas

Oh fine..... good to see that someone is up to remind

us about harsh speech instead of getting into the

actual topic.

But I can not really appreciate this truely.....

because I saw a few days ago that in Gjlist someone

named Ravindra posted a recommendation of a

list......... and you replied with.......

"I have not seen this Ravindra 42 before but be aware

that the naasastrology is a bunch of

nonsense........."

So here you are telling against harsh speech...... but

you yourself commited to talk with harsh speech only a

few days ago...... how come you forgot that so soon?

The matter is that there will always be coming new

people to the list, and that very time you will see

them for the first time!!!!!!!..... it is

natural...... so there is nothing like "I never saw

this Ravindra before"....... avoid being harsh like

this...... be gentle to new member... leave ego being

old member...... you were a new member sometime,

too...... new people will come and you will see them

for the first time...... you do not know all people of

the world so day by day you will come to know more and

more people...... so stop being harsh for no

reason........

if there would be no new members coming...... then

every list have only 1 member...... the founder

itself...... do you smart guy understand

it?????....... so dont disrespect new members..... try

to be co-operative.....

And recommending a list is not an offence...... he

just liked the list perhaps for that reason he

recommended..... you have a prob with that????......

If you dont like it, dont join it........ no one is

forcing you to join...... no one is begging to

you...... you are nothing such person like that.......

your behavious says so........ but dont be after

people for no reason....... thats no good........ and

I am sure that Srimad Bhagvatam did not encourage

this......... did it?......

sometimes you aware people about bad lists, sometimes

you aware people of harsh speech...... especially when

you often use harsh speech of your own!

Again, no one wanted your advice on any list nor about

talking style........ and dont advice people what you

can not maintain yourself.......

At first I did not even believe that you were that

Nicholas who posted that in Gjlist...... because how

come here you tell not to be harsh... where in other

lists you keep being harsh to people????........ but

later to make sure I checked the mail add....... and

found that you are the same Nicholas....... anyway how

can you advice not to be harsh when you are harsh with

others? You so smart....... you think members of this

list are not members of any other lists?........

change your own behaviour before you change others

behaviours....... that would be better...... I

bet.......

It is okay to lose temper sometimes, but I think we should not go far for a

small quote of anger. If we take this list to be a family, we can teach and

learn through love and respect for each other. Good environment surely is

needed for developing knowledge.

The reason behind Sanjay focussed on you personally for he saw you losing temper

on Ravindra in Gjlist unnecessarily. May be Ravindra did not know that the list

is closed, would he then recommend it? I do not think so.

As I have told that this is like a family, then new members should be treated

like our new co borns. When we have a newborn in family, he or she needs care

of us. Similarly, when a new member enters list, he is naturally little

hesitant and shy, not totally free. It is our responsibility to co operate him

to make him comfortable to take part in the discussion freely. Otherwise, being

hesitant, one can not ask a question nor he can share something he knows.

As Sanjay already told, there will be always new members coming and then you

will see them for the first time. This list is not only yours, not only mine -

it belongs all of us. We all are parts of this list - this is ours. A founder

of the list can do nothing unless people join it.

When a member enters, he also becomes a part of the list. Every member has the

same right here as far as he is not violating laws or disturbing others. I do

not see any strong offence in what Ravindra did. It would be nicer of you if

you would gently tell him that the list is already closed. It takes us almost

nothing to be polite.

So there is nothing like I never saw you before, where did you come from.....

When you lose temper on anyone and he takes it easy, then you should also

remember that people might lose temper on you, and you should take that easy,

too! It does not cost much to be tolerating.

Anyway, a closed list is not equal to a bunch of rubbish I think. People still

can learn manythings from the posts exchanged in the list.
