KP whether Vedic

dear friends,

I am happy to see discussion initiated by young Puneet pandey about " whether KP

is Vedic". Responses from learned members are enlightening.I place a few

observation.1 Vedic Astrology has emaneted from Vedas and coordinates adopted

are basically soli lunar and constellation are predominats. Exposition By Graet

Parasher and Jamini are inclusive of basics.The first known researcher of our

time in vedic astrology the late sh. H.R.Seshadri Iyer in all humility has held

that that revelation of hidden truth is attempted and only a novel line of

approach is possible.I agree with him.Whatever research we are seeing is

nothing but these are efforts which were hidden in tradition and were closly

guarded, that have been explained. Some of the authors are very intelligent

They put forward simple theories in complex ways mixing spritual jargon.

The real taste of pudding is its eating.I have been silently interacting all

known theories circulated in last 34 years and have amply experimanted many of

them, like Syatem Analysis. KP.And many others.Before any system is condemned

it shold be given fair trial.To my mind SA and KP are subsets of Vedic

astrology.They are useful but every system has limitation.SA has limitation

since it concentrats on short term search of solution of human problems and

starategy to influence client .KP is superb equally effective like traditional

prasna if properly handeled.Reasons of KP going in disuse are many.Some are 1.

Lack of research to update ayanamsa value w.r.t two values adopted in time of

Master one based on New Combs Formula and other floated by Sh. R.E.Manu.2.

Tedious calculation of House cusp for which no software has been written which

can furnish accurate cusps of houses.Even Goravani Leo and astro-kundali

does not stand to test.Kala is yet to develop module for it .Demo of Shri

jyotish as well as some others i could lay hand are far from accuracy.3. No

forum is available for interaction and no regular Magazine now a days. To

conclude I put before a simple question Could you make astrology to work

honestly for u and ur frieds.Forget justifying events after they have occured

and those prediction which came correct by chance u made before event.

Set Apart economical angle of modern days. If it works well for u it is a

blessing. I know it works for some very accurately but they donot disclose

there methods.So still much is needed.Hope my this message will stir thinking

in direction leading u toward light.With best wishes to all members on list and
