Ishta Devata commonality between family members?

Dear Gurus and others interested:

 

I've noticed that I have Sun in 12th from AK in D-9, my daughter

has Sun & Ketu, and my wife has no planet but rasi drishti from

Sun and Ketu (in 12th from AK in D-9).

 

Is my observation of Ishta devata similarity among the three of us

flawed? In general, do family members tend to have this

similarity? In either case, what does this similarity mean, if

anything
