Dear Shri

Srivastava,

Jyotish

Digest was launched as a monthly magazine in April, 2002. Five issues were

published after which we decided to switch to quarterly mode and refurbish the

format of the journal. We took a long time to re-start the Digest, but the

fault is ours as we struggle with minimal manpower and minimal funds. We were

also busy with the SJC Annual Conference, which took place in December. So we finally

managed to bring it out in April. Please consider this as a continuation of the

earlier venture. If you are a r, you will surely receive your copy

soon by post.

Best

Dear Jyotishis,

Sri Jagannath Center is pleased to announce that the April, 2003 issue of

Jyotish Digest was published today. The format of the journal has been

recast entirely to give it a new look and we hope our readers appreciate

these changes. We are still in the process of improving it, and it might

take us at least a few more issues to get what we desire in print. Till then

you have to bear with us through our teething troubles. The present issue

also has several typographical errors, which a working team of two

overlooked. We will ensure these mistakes are not repeated in the future

issues. A student of SJC has printed this journal for us at minimal cost but

with a lot of heart and enthusiasm, and he too promises on working on the

visual aspects of the journal over the next few months. Please give us your

feedback and suggestions as to ways we can improve the journal.

We apologize for the delay in printing the magazine and we know that many of

the rs have been getting impatient and contacting us frequently. We

hope your wait would have been worth the while.

Best regards,

Sarbani Sarkar
