Dear Sanjay Jee and other respected members,

Thanks for teaching that Sri Chamakkam is good for people in Sade Sati.

But I am confused about something. That, will Sri Chamakkam be good for people

who are not under Sade Sati but has Saturn's affliction in Natal Chart? (Janma

Kundali)

Please enlighten me on this confusion.

Regards,Tanvir

Om Sri Gurave namah

Dear Tanvir,

If I do not have fever should I pop in crocin tablets? The effect of Tamas

planets is to deplete you of hope and energy as the work gets delayed, things

don't happen, opportunities don't come, troubles galore and you don't have the

strength and energy to fight the battles of life.

Like that there are many mantras which are for the peaceful times and these

should be done regularly. These are from the Rig Veda and I will strongly

recommend a reading of this Veda for everyone. Is it not strange that many of

you are Hindu's and you have not read the Rig Veda at least once.

The Gayatri's in the Veda are the most beautiful hymns and of all the mantra's

this is the highest as taught by Sri Krishna. There are many gayatri's and

those in the Rig Veda alone are the best as the deity is Sri Go-mukha and the

planet governing this Veda is Brihaspati. The Vishnu sukta is the best thing to

read everyday. For those who are into daily rituals, one of the mantra of the

vishnu sukta 'tad vishnu param padam..." is a must.

Some of the beautiful gayatri's addressed to bhagavan in the RV (Vishnu sukta)

are given below. Use the URW Palladio IT font to view this properly.

ato devä avantu no yato viñëurvicakrame | påthivyäù saptadhämabhiù ||

idaà viñëurvi cakrame tredhä ni dadhe padam | samüÿhamasya päàsure ||

tréëi padä vi cakrame viñëurgopä adäbhyaù | ato dharmäëi dhärayan ||

viñëoù karmäëi paçyata yato vratäni paspaçe | indrasya yujyaù sakhä ||

tad viñëoù paramaà padaà sadä paçyanti sürayaù | divéva cakñurätatam ||

tad vipräso vipanyavo jägrväàsaù samindhate | viñëoryat paramaà padam||

I do not think there is any doubt left that the paramam padam is always with

reference to Vishnu. So, on a daily basis, being peaceful in mind, pray for

this paramam padam.

With best regards,
