Guest guest
I am a total ignoramus, astrology-wise. So can anyone help me with what must be a very easy question for u guys to answer?: Question: how can I find out the exact time of true noon in Shanghai, China on March 21st (spring equinox) compared to normal Beijing time? Also what house will the moon be in at that time? (vedic calculation, of course).
Guest guest
Dear fukk (or is it hude?), I can give you an approximate, but not precise answer. Multiply the longitude of Shanghai by 4; that'll give you the extent to which your time is ahead of GMT in minutes. If Shanghai's longitude is 120E, it'll be noon LMT when it's 0400 GMT. For where the moon will be at the time, you'll have to check out the ephemeris, because it can't be at any one position on all March 21sts.
