The only material I could read on the subject was an article on SJC website by By Brendan Feeley http://.org/digest/apr02/shoola.htm Some of the basic questions I have are; 1. Do the Antardasa start from Aries or from Rasi with which MDs begin? 2. Does JHL software give these Dasas? 3. In the article by Brendan Feeley, he write "Rudra is the stronger of the lords of the 8th house from the Lagna or the 7th (2.1.35). Thus, the stronger of the lords of the 2nd and the 8th from the Lagna is Rudra." May be the figure in bracket here is reference to some other article. Can you kindly explain? Is it ok to take stronger of 2nd and 8th as Rudra? 4. The articles gives combinations that show dangerous periods. It then says Malefic Rasis are more dangerous than benefic rasis. I assume Malefic rasis are the rasis with which malefic planets are associated. I shall appreciate if you can throw some more light. However among them Merc has more strength to kill. The presence of Rudra in the trine to the dasa rasi or the aspect of the Rudra on the dasa rasi is never good and promote disease. In the present case the Aries mahadasa started on 1995 dec commences the trouble. There is more evil as Moon and Venus are aspecting the sign by Rasi Drsti and thus forming the dreaded rudra yoga, showing any blood related troubles. Now among the antardasas, the higlighted ones would have been (going to be) pretty bad. Here except Sc, all others are aspected by the rudra, showing more trouble. However, the current antardasa is little calm as Jup is placed there without affliction. One good solution to rudra's affliction and rudra yoga is Rudrabhishek. That would impreve the situation. Ask her to recite the Mrtyunjaya Mantra Aum Jum Sah everyday at-least one mala daily. If she can do more then thats well and good. When Sat moves out from Tau, she will show great sign of improvement. Those who have not started working with Shoola Dasa can refer to that article along with the illustration in Jaimini Sutras by Pt. Sanjay Rath. This is very easy to compute, just take dasa as 9 years and antardasa as 9 months. Even if JHL doesn't give this, it should not be detterent to anyone in using it. > 3. Yes, take the stronger of 2nd and 8th lord counted in regular zodiacal order. The rudra who is debilitated and afflited by more malefics is stronger "TO Kill". > 4. Yes, The rasi conjoined and aspected (Rasi Drsti) by more malefics has more power to kill and the reverse also holds true. More to it, the 3/6/8/12 rasi from the Dasa sign have more power to kill/ cause trouble. So as a rasi trine or aspected by the Rudra. I shall appreciate if you can throw some more light.
