About aspects of the nodes, some astrologers hold that Rahu has an aspect and Ketu does not. Some authorities hold that their aspects are other than 7th. Rahu is said to have aspect on 5,7,9 and 12 and no aspect if he is in his own house.He has 1/2 aspect on 2nd and 10th house and 1/4th on 3rd and 6th house. The Shloka quoted for this is: "sutamadan navaaMte pUrNadrushti tamasya yugala daSamagehe caartha druSti vadanti. sahajripuvipakshan paadadruSti munIndraa: nijabhuvana mupetolochcnaaMsha: prdiSt:." The shloka is attributed to Parashara in "Chamatkaar Chintamani. However most of astrologers do not attribute aspect or drishti to Rahu and Ketu.Even logically considering 7th aspect would be repetitive as in that place Rahu and Ketu are always located. Therefore whether the result is on account of rahu or presence of Ketu will only be an academic discussion, which cna be proved either way. Regards, Chandrashekhar.
