Hello Sarajit,

Can you please explain what is the 11-day

"laghu-rudrii anuSThAna" of the mantra "Om namaH

ShivAya".

What I mean is how does one go about performing it?

Thanks,

Sel

Dear Sel,

Namaka and Chamaka have 11 anuvakas each (verses).

Rupam: Chanting of 11 anuvakas of namaka followed by chanting of 11 anuvakas of

chamaka (n1, n2, ... n11, c1, c2, ... c11)

Rudra ekadasini: Chanting of 11 anuvakas of namaka with one anuvaka of chamaka

each time, repeated eleven times (n1..n11, c1, n1..n11, c2, ... , n1..n11,

c11).

Laghurudra (rudrii): Rudra ekadasini repeated 11 times.

Maharudra: Laghurudra repeated 11 times.

Atirudra: Maharudra repeated 11 times.

What they are referring to is probably the Rudra ekadasini repeated each day for

11 days, forming a laghu-rudra.
