Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Namaste friends, > Respected Gurus, > > Could anybody please provide me a link on the internet, where I can > find "Chamaka Prashna Japa". I searched but was not able to find it. > > regards, > > Ravi. You can buy a CD containing Rudra Chamakam (aka Chamaka prasna) in mp3 format at http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/workshop This mp3 CD contains 55 minutes of prayers and 12 hours 20 minutes of Vedic astrology lectures from "Achyuta Jyotish Workshop" held by me and SJC Jyotish Guru Narayan Iyer at Rutgers Univ on January 25- 26, 2003. The prayers in the CD include Vishnu's 1000 names, Chamakam, 108 names of all the nine planets and Vishnu kavacham. The lectures are on various basic and intermediate level topics such as divisional charts, houses, arudha padas, karakas, judgment of charts, multiple dasa systems, Vimsottari dasa, conditional dasas, Narayana dasa and basics of mantras. The CD is packed with a lot of useful material. Unfortunately, the mp3 file containing Chamakam is too big (6 MB) to be sent via internet. So I request those who are interested to buy the CD. Actually, the sales of this CD have been less than expected, even though it was priced very reasonably. If you are interested but have been lazy, please take some time off your busy schedule to visit the site and order the CD. Those who don't like PayPal credit card payment can send a check too. All the profits from the CD sales will go to SJC-USA once it is registered in USA as a non-profit organization. So the money will be used well! Please help us in the good work. As a bonus, this CD includes a newer version of JHLite software (version 5.0) which will not be available in the public domain for another 40 days. You can get the software, get a lot of prayers and get a lot of useful lectures, while contributing a small amount to a worthy cause. Please do consider! The link is here again: http://www.VedicAstrologer.org/workshop May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
Guest guest
Jaya Jagannath Dear Ravi, It would be better if you get hold of a cassette or Narasimha's CDs for the Chamaka Prasna, which when recited with correct intonation sounds really great. It contains the prayers to pacify the ekadas rudras. I think Narasimha's CD is a good offer, with the chamaka prasna and JHL 5.0 along with the materials contained in the CD. As long as you get hold of the CD/ Cassette, you can recite the following stanza 11 times in early morning. This is mentioned in VRA by Pt. Sanjay Rath shaM cha me mayashcha me priyaM cha me.anukaamashcha me kaamashcha me saumanasashcha me bhadraM cha me shreyashcha me vasyashcha me yashashcha me bhagashcha me draviNaM cha me yantaa cha me dhartaa cha me kshemashcha me dhRitishcha me vishvaM cha me mahashcha me saMvichcha me GYaatraM cha me suushcha me prasuushcha me siiraM cha me layashcha ma RitaM cha me.amRitaM cha me.ayakshmaM cha me.anaamayachcha me jiivaatushcha me diirghaayutvaM cha me.anamitraM cha me.abhayaM cha me sugaM cha me shayanaM cha me suushhaa cha me sudinaM cha me.. Even though the Chamaka Prasna (Rudra Chamakam) is available at sanskrit.gde.to., the intonation maintained there is not satisfactory.
