Guest guest
Dear Narasimhaji, I just saw this post. So far I had missed this. Due to some inexplicable reason, I had a strong feeling (intuition?) to go back and check again for your post regarding this chart, and I am glad I did! Thanks for such a crisp and excellent analysis. I am going to re-read your post again to extract some more prediction techniques. Just one question for now: Your analysis (D-20, D-24 & D-24 tell us about his learning/miracles, etc). But this question pertains about predicting through astrology the attainment of moksha. You noted that Ketu in 12th from AK is a necessary condition for moksha. Doesnt our natal horoscope show only the effects of karma accumulated so far? If by free will a person burns the Karma, doesnt he/she attain "moksha" in this life? The very reason a person is born in this world (lets exclude avatars of God) is that they havent attained moksha before. So any karmic influence our charts show can only be less than that is required for moksha. How can we ascertain the final dissolving of karmic influence through a prism that shows karmic influence. There are many yogis such as Trilinga Swami (Sri. K.N. Rao has written about him), who lived for nearly 300 years. Or the well known Himalayan Yogi - Babaji who is living for centuries. How would astrology explain their chart since they lived in kali yuga where the maximum lifetime is 120 yrs as per astrology. I have an amateur 'theory' about effect of karma and power of astrology on spiritually advanced souls. The more someone advances spiritually and more karma & vasanas s/he burns, the lesser will be the effect of karma on them. Lesser the karmic effect, less helpful astrology will be in predicting. The effect of karma becomes zero when karma becomes zero and no new karma is added. Imagine some sort of an asymptotic curve (but not exactly asymptotic, since attaining moksha is at some definite point in the axis of time. Let time be X axis and karma/ability of astrology be the curve plotted. The curve will be at zero on Y axis at the time final liberation is attained. It is my understanding that Himalayan saint/siddha Babaji and saints such as Ramalinga/Trilinga Swami and countless others are at that level. My theory will be invalid when there is nothing such as freewill/effort and everything is predetermined which can be seen astrologically. I hope you clear this confusion (thats how I call my 'theory') BTW, so far I *assumed* that charts of Sri Krishna and Bagavan Rama are just computed to be used as learning devices and in reality Krishna/Rama/etc didnt do anything because they were *bound* to do, but did it because they willed it. Thanks & regards, -Siva. vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R. However, that does not mean Ganesha and Kartikeya "are not real". The symbolism and the reality of gods could both be valid. When we talk about god, we are talking about dimensions of this universe that our mind cannot perceive. Our mind is used to thinking in terms of the 3 dimensions of space and the fourth dimension of time. Don't try to extrapolate this limited common sense to draw conclusions on God. Even great saints perceive Him (god) in various forms depending on the path chosen by them. There have been many great religious teachers until now and they have all given different perspectives of the ultimate truth. I cannot reject the teachings of so many great teachers based on what this Swamiji taught. > > Bottomline is that I respectfully differ with this Samiji. Ganesha and Kartikeya are for real and I will continue to pray to them with faith. Just because somebody was an advanced yogi and did a lot of miracles does not mean he is right on everything. He can be misunderstood or even be plain wrong. > > > .... > > DEFINITE QUESTIONS: > > ------------------ > > You asked for a well defined puzzle/question in the chart. This universe created by god operates under a certain framework of rules. > > If this Swamiji received "moksha", it should actually be visible in his chart. In the navamsa chart, Ketu should be in the 12th from AK for moksha. Here the 12th is empty, but the 12th lord Sun is with Ketu in a highly saattwik sign Cancer (sign of creation). Some kind of liberation is possible. However, the stress is on 11th and the there is a diversion of energy from the 12th from AK to the 11th from AK. Was his soul really liberated or was it liberated towards fulfilling a strong desire? I have some confusion here and cannot anything more for now. > > * * * > > I rectified the birthtime of this Swamiji based on all the information given. Here, Moon is in Chitra. If you look at the calculations in the enclosed file, you will see that Kunda is also in Chitra. So the chart could be correct. > > Second, he is a human being. So pranapada lagna has to be in a trine or 7th from Moon (karaka for human beings - human beings have a strong mind). Here pranapada lagna is in Ta in navamsa and Moon is in Sc in navamsa. So a human birth is possible at the rectified time. [Note: Had the pranapada lagna in navamsa been in Cp, only a fish or a horse or a turtle or a fly or a butterfly or a bird could be born (this is not an exhaustive list - there are too many planets in trines/7th from Cp). But a human being cannot be born then.] > > Now look at navamsa lagna. It is in Sc. Moon in navamsa lagna shows a good singer. Debilitated Moon in navamsa lagna shows a patient and compassionate person. Jupiter and Sun in trines show a jnaani (learned and wise man). Ketu in a trine shows occult and mystic abilities. > > With this navamsa lagna, Sayanadi avasthas of planets are also improved. Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Rahu are in Sabha avastha (speaking at an assembly), while Saturn is in Prakasana avastha (glowing) and Ketu is in Nrityalipsa avastha (eager to dance). These avasthas fit the stature of the person. > > Go to D-7 (kids). The 5th lord of rasi chart (karyesha) is debilitated in 12th. The 5th lord of D-7 (Mars) is debilitated in another dusthana - 8th - with his worst afflictor (Rahu). In my original mail, I said that 5th lord Moon in marana karaka sthana in rasi chart shows misfortune related to children. This D-7 throws more light and suggests that the native has no kids. > > Go to D-10 (activities). Grahamalika yoga from 9th to 12th is very interesting and shows activities related to dharma. Sun, Moon and Mars give Trilochana yoga in 9th and they start the Grahamalika yoga. It ends in the 12th house of giving with rajayoga between AK Venus and PK Mercury. So he fearlessly (Trilochana yoga) upholds dharma (9th) in his activities (D-10), gives a lot (12th) and gets support from followers (AK and PK together). Moolatrikona Ketu lagna shows a mystic. Jupiter in 10th shows saintly activities in society. > > Go to D-12 (parents). Karyeshas (4th and 9th lords of rasi chart) are ill-placed - Mercury is debilitated in 8th and Mars is afflicted by Saturn. Even the 4th and 9th lord of D-12, Mars, is afflicted in a maraka sthana from the two houses. Parents passing away early is possible. > > Go to D-16 (comforts and luxuries). Lagna lord is in 12th showing that the native rejects physical comforts. Moon gives Chandra-Mangala yoga and this rejection is very strong. Lagna has papa kartari (malefic scissors) from Mars and Saturn and so the native does not lead a luxurious life. > > Go to D-20 (spirituality). Lagna has nodes and that is conducive to siddhis and miracles. Jupiter in 4th shows a famous Shiva temple in his birthtown. Mars in 5th shows early devotion to Kartikeya. Sun in the same house shows devotion to Shiva that you mentioned. Saturn in the 9th shows a rational approach to spiritual dharma (as opposed to Jupiter who would show a traditional approach). From AK in vimsamsa, 4th house shows the gati (direction) of the atma (soul). It is Ge here, lorded by Mercury. Mars aspects Ge and Mercury both. His approach is mainly Mercurian, with traces of the Martian approach of nyaaya. His path is that of compassion, devotion, logic and justice. His rejection of tradition is not tough to justify, given that Jupiter is a functional malefic in D-20 and occupies 6th from AK. Even though he has traits related to Jupiter, his spirituality is guided by other planets. [Note: All planets show various spiritual paths and nothing is superior or inferior. My writings may show a slight bias towards Jupiter, but that's because it is the path that *I* am attracted to.] > > Go to D-24 (learning). Lagna is in Ge and Mercury occupies it, giving Bhadra yoga. He is smart. In the ashtakavarga of D-24, Ge has 31 rekhas and Mercury is strong with 6 rekhas. Mercury is very strong and makes him a good learner. Mars is even stronger. He is with 8 rekhas (wow!) in the 11th house which has 37 rekhas! As the 11th house is the 4th house of learning from the 8th house of occult knowledge, he is an extra-ordinary learner of occult knowledge. Moreover, Mars is an important karaka for occult knowledge (see the results given by Parasara for Ruchaka Mahapurusha yoga given by Mars!). > > Go to D-27 (inherent nature, strengths and weaknesses - instincts operating at the subconscious level). Lagna is in Aq showing a natural thinker/philosopher (by instincts). Moon and Jupiter in lagna show compassion and wisdom as the inherent qualities. Exalted Mercury and moolatrikona Rahu in the 8th house show natural occult instincts - magic and miracles coming to him easily. > > Go to D-60 (past life). Moon and exalted Jupiter in Cancer lagna show a very compassionate and kind person in past life. That explains why compassion and kindness come to him naturally through D-27 and navamsa in this birth. A compassionate saint like him should have been one in past life too. > > Go to D-108. It shows the evolution of one's luck and abilities. Moon and Ketu in Pisces lagna show a compassionate mystic. These abilities have evolved due to the karma of several lives. > > Overall, I think this rectified chart fits well. > > May Jupiter's light shine on us, > Narasimha > > > Ramalinga Swami (rectified) > > Natal Chart > > October 5, 1823 > Time: 17:37:20 > Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT) > Place: 79 E 42' 00", 11 N 24' 00" > Chidambaram, India > Altitude: 0.00 meters <<< Further astrological data snipped >>
