As you said about Cheiro ,the famous Palmist who had been to India and mainy to Kerala state to study Palmistry through traditional Brahmins called Nambudaris.Anyhow as I said in my previous messgae to Swee,I will test this method of using gems in left hand and then I will see what results it gives. Zircons usually are heat treated. In the years, I have yet to see a perfectly natural white. Heat turns the gem white from grey. Sapphires too nowadays for that matter. Though chances are better that one gets a natural white. Guest guest Posted February 13, 2003 Report Share Posted February 13, 2003 If you come to think of it none of the real old classics on vedic astrology(Parashar or jatak parijat or saravali etc) mention that a gemstone is to be worn on right hand only.The old classics only mention the 9 gemstones for the 9 planets as considered in vedic astrology.No fingers or hands are mentioned.If you have read the famous book'Autobiography of a yogi',there the author's guru(a very famous Guru,i think Lahiri Maharaj or somebody like that) advises the author to wear a bangle of gemstones.So no fingers there.I also remember that when posted in Calcutta,i saw many people wearing armbands of astro gems.The Wisdom of the Bengali in these matters can't be ignored,since calcutta is the city of astrologers and tantriks.I therefore think that all this controversy about which finger and which hand is needless.I do however vaguely remember reading in some book(can't remember the name now)that a pearl should be worn in left hand.I had discussed this with a leading astrologer of Calcutta then and his explanation was that left relates to creativity.Food for thought as pearl relates to moon and moon in many ways relates to creativity since it rules imagination.Bye RK--- In vedic astrology, Ramadas Rao <ramadasrao> wrote: > > OM KLEEM KRISHNAAYA NAMAH > Dear Mr.R.K.Baqaya, > If this method is used by western astrology,but then where in our Vediac astrology it is mentioned ?
