Guest guest
Hi all, How do planetary characteristics affect the effects of the various planets being badhakas? Can I assume the effects to be more or less the same as that when they're the AKs? As an example, would it be better to have Mar or Sat as badhaka than Jup or Ven? Responses would be most welcome. Warm regards, Ramapriya hubli (AT) vsnl (DOT) com
Guest guest
hamsa om soham Dear Ramapriya, These are difficult concepts to understand, but let me try so that others can correct me. The Atmakaraka is the planet with the maximum gain within a house. Perhaps he can be thought of as the eldest graha. His purpose is to give you the true knowledge....to make you realize the true aim of this birth. Surya is the natural karaka. The natural badhakasthana is the 11th house of Aquarius owned by Rahu and he is the natural badhakesh, which obstructs the native on the path to Pisces (moksha), and makes him see past the maya, so that he will contemplate in the 12th house and reach moksha, instead of running through to Aries and taking another birth. Rahu is the natural karaka, and thus the badhakesh is like a karmic control planet, who tries to get you out of this cycle of life and death. Every two concepts in Jyotish must have essential differences...otherwise why would the maharishis call them by different names! ajit - Ramapriya D vedic astrology Friday, January 31, 2003 6:44 PM [vedic astrology] A badhaka query Hi all, How do planetary characteristics affect the effects of the various planets being badhakas?
