Guest guest
Dear list, Should not Rahu and Ketu be considered as one entitiy astrologically since according to mythology they are derived from the same body? With Rahu representing the head (desires) and Ketu as the tail , the Rahu-Ketu entity should symbolise Shakti as the upper half of the body and Shiva as the lower half which is the opposite of what it is supposed to be in man where the lower half is Shakti and the upper half is Shiva. (Is this what separates Kala Sarpa Yoga types from Kala Amrita Yoga types??) Seven houses separate Rahu and Ketu --- is there any correlation between the 7 houses that lie between the Rahu-Ketu body and the 7 chakras in the human body and if so, what is the one-to-one correspondence ? I would be glad if anyone can throw some light on this, as I am not well-versed in astrology or scriptures Mrinkris
Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Mrinkris, Namaste. Yes, in one sense Rahu and Ketu are one but on the other hand they are separate, and work in opposite ways. Rahu gives bondage and sin while Ketu gives knowledge and liberation. Therefore you should analyse the relationship between the two houses in which the nodes are situated in a chart very deeply to understand the karmic bond he is in and the deep-rooted vaasanas (impressions) of karmic activities. If we want to link the to chakras I would say Rahu to root chakra (sins of past lives are said to collect in the root chakra or its reflection outside the body) and Ketu to the crown chakra, as a liberated soul or yougi would usually pass through the crown chakra when leaving their body and enter the sisumara-chakra on top of the universe. This requires another study ans the sisumara-cakra is said to be remresented within the nakshatra-cakra and the yogis meditate on this cakra.
