Even this forum's members are inclined to debate and suggest gems for activating benefic rays of graha, and curtailing dosh in birth chart. Our esteemed members has discussed many possible ways of selecting gems, among them few widely accepted notion come into light, viz; * Gem of lagna lord * Gem of Yoga Karaka * Gem of Chandra Ras (moon's sign at birth) * Gem of Maha Dasa lord Now a layman may confuse how to choose most appropriate gem among them specially one who does not well versed in astrology. The most suitable stone may be anyone of above or it may be any thing other, like, nakshatra lord, arudha lagna lord or one specially suggested for specific purpose or disease. If you are leading first phase of life i.e not crossed 32/33 years yet, then the most suitable combination is wearing gems of lagna lord with yoga karak. Because at that time we need more physical energy (1st house) and supportive factors/opportunites (yoga karaka). So this combination of gem (i.e user + producer) may create an ideal condition. But the placement and strength of lagnesh and yoga karaka can not be ignored at all, whom associated gems you are going to wear. Then choose strongest between lagan and yoga karak.Now look the lord of maha dasa and the Moon's sign lord as well, as observe which one is the friend of grah (chosen between lagnesh and yoga karaka). Guest guest Posted January 5, 2003 Report Share Posted January 5, 2003 Dear M.Imran, As you said it is a difficult task for an Astrologer to find which gem will be suitable to a person.Normally I am not recommending gem stones for Moon sign lord as it may be an enemy for Lagna Lord as Lagna lord is the focal point in any chart.Also regarding using gem during the Dasa period of a planet,if you use on gem for one particular Dasa ,then for next Dasa you have to use another gem and it becomes a tough task for the people as every time they have to change the gem evry now and then as per their Dasa periods.So it is better to wear a gem for Lagna lord or its trinal or Yoga Karaka lord.Of course care has to be taken in prscribing a gem stone.As you said for a newly married couple ,wearing of Emerald will not help them as it is the stone for Budha,an enunch ..So in all the situations you have to judge from your experience and maily intution which a person gets after the Siddhi of his Ishta Devatha etc.From my experience of about 18 years in this field I will think twice to prescribe a gem for anybody and I got problems also when I prescribe a gem for Moon sign lord and the persons after wearing met with so many troubles and finally I told them to remove stones and suggested for Lagna lord or trinal or Yoga Karaka lords then it started working miraculously. But I didn't say "it is a difficult task for an Astrologer to find which gem will be suitable to a person", I said " a layman may confuse how to choose most appropriate gem, specially one who is not well versed in astrology." In fact it is the job of an astrologer or an expert gemologist-cum-astrologer to recommond birthstone along with remedies. I agree with you and accepted it as well and said that "the most suitable combination is wearing gems of lagna lord with yoga karak" But if anyone of above is afflicted then unafflicted lord's (either lagnesh or karak) is taken with dashnath provided both are friends or at least not enemy. If lord of running dasa is the friend of either lagnesh or karak then why this combination should not be chosen, specially when one is desiring to get optimal results in the said dasa. Though it may be difficult to change gems, but dasas donot change in every weaks or months. They are spreaded over years and decades and their results can not be ignored. In all combinations I have discussed, one may take a combination in which either Langa lord or Yoga Karaka is involoved, provided they are not enemy of each other. You are taking about developing intuative power, and this 101% true that without this the trianle of true prediction can not complete at all. Because " True Prediction = Knowledge + Experience + Intuation" One more thing dear Rao jee, I personally think birthstone should wear in right hand. But when I see many renown stars, politicians, athletes etc. having gems in their left hand, and this puzzles me alot. Like Amitabh Bachan (who has Aquarius lagna and Libra Moon), during last few years started wearing stones in both hands. Even I did not wear any gem yet, ( I've Aquarius lagna, Moon in Aries, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Leo, Venus in Libra and vorgottam Mars with Mercury in Scorpio) and now a days Mars maha dasa is running. Here either mangal's ratna will be suitable or dimond/opal with sapphire, when I'm about to enter in professional life. Guest guest Posted January 6, 2003 Report Share Posted January 6, 2003 Dear M.Imran, Thank you for comments.I never recommend the use of left hand for wearing any gem.As per my studies I never read about wearing gem stone in left hand.Now you said your lagna is Aquarius and your Dasa is Mars placed in the nakshatra of Anuradha ruled by Shani who is in 7th house but in an enemic sign.Then see where is Venus,he is in his Moola trikona Rasi of Tula only,Am I correct ? So you can wear diamond irespective of the dasa.My son is also Kumbha Lagna and Venus is in Tula in 9th house with Budha ,so put diamond ring for him and now he is feeling better and just now he finished on interview for a marketing manager's job.He is attending his final exam.for MBA marketing in this month last week and the company told him to see the personnel manager after the exams. are over.Now for him Kethu dasa and Moon's Antara is going on and it is connected to Venus at all but wearing a Yoga Karaka's gem will improve one's Bhagya or luck and in other fields improvement also.
