Guest guest
Dear List Members, just wanted to verify the calculation of Mala Masa. Kalaprakasika states that a month with two Full Moon is Mala Masa. My question is what is the unfavorable period. Is it the full Moon to full Moon or is it calculated similarly to Adhika Masa, which would make the unfavorable period the next new Moon following the first Full Moon in the rasim in question, to the new Moon following the 2nd Full Moon in the rasi. Thank you, Ernst Wilhelm schinnas <schinnas [schinnas] Friday, December 27, 2002 11:35 PM vedic astrology [vedic astrology] Re: First Human clone? Dear Sarjitji, It is my understanding that the DNA / genetic makeup of identical twins is not exactly the same (a DNA test will show the difference), however, the genetic makeup of clones are probably the exact replica of the original. Moreover, identical twins are born within a few minutes apart so their rasi chart (for physical appearance) is almost the same. But for clones, their rasi chart will most likely be different but they will have the exact physical/health properties. -Siva. vedic astrology, "Sarajit Poddar" <sarajit_poddar@h...> wrote: > Jaya Jagannatha, > Namaste, > > This is similar to birth of identical twins, who share the same genetic > structure. Guest guest
Dear Sridhar, yes, some consider it the same, but in Kalaprakasika it is given seperately, while Adhika Masa has two new Moons falling in a rasi and is known as Samsarpam, Mala Masa, according to Kalaprakasika, is when two full Moons fall the same rasi. I think that it is likely that Mala Masa is the Krishnadi Adhika Masa? Thanks for your reply, Ernst Wilhelm sridhar k [kopparsa] Tuesday, December 31, 2002 10:30 PM vedic astrology Re: [vedic astrology] Mala Masa mala masa is another name for Adhika Masa. Guest guest
Mala Masa/Adhika Masa occurs when the SUN remains in the same Sign(rasi) thruout the Lunar Month. --- Ernst Wilhelm <ernst wrote: > Dear Sridhar, > yes, some consider it the same, but in Kalaprakasika it is given > seperately, while Adhika Masa has two new Moons falling in a rasi and is > known as Samsarpam, Mala Masa, according to Kalaprakasika, is when two > full Moons fall the same rasi.
