Guest guest
Dear Sundeep RAM KRISHN HARE Why do you think that simple things are not acceptable? This is the ONLY WAY in Kaliyug. The logic is very simple. If you take HIS name with your last breath, you have destroyed all previous sins and before doing any more sin,you die.So being without sins, you can get Moksh.God and Sins can never stay togather just like light and darkness. Put your hand in fire it will burn!Do you need to be calm to get burn? Eat food and your hunger will be satisfied even if you are not calm. All good/bad karmas are by body so verbal uttering can also give Moksh. Haven't you read how verbal-insult of Duryodhan by Draupadi resulted in Mahabharat war?If some ordinary(!) words can create such great war,why do you have doubts that HIS name will not give Moksh? Still not convinced?Read the story of Ajamil from Srimad-Bhagvat. I will give you just the summery: Ajamil was a very bad person doing only bad things. On advice of a sadhu he kept the name of his son Narayan.while dying,he called his son. Being Narayan, He was saved by God and blessed with more life. KALIYUG KEVAL NAM AADHARA, SUMIRI-SUMIRI NAR UTARAHI(N) PARA Thanks Anilkumar OM TAT SAT ******************* You Wrote: Dear Anil, The title of your message reminds me of a gavel thumping down at an auction. SOLD! :-) That aside, I have read the same thing in the Gita (Srila Prabhupada's interpretation). However, my interpretation of Srila Prabhupada's comments was somewhat different - not so literal and simple. More than simply repeatedly verbally uttering a specific Sanskrit phrase at the moment of death, what I understood was that at the moment of death your mind must be in a calm and detached state, not focussed on the senses or sense objects, but focussed on God. That state, if achieved, is much more important and is what is meant by remembering God at the time of death. It isnt as simple as you seem to be saying, if you think about it - if I were in a plane plummeting towards the ground heading towards certain death, I could probably be screaming names of God, in a lot of languages including Sanskrit, until I met my end, but I would certainly not be able to get my mind into a calm and detached state, not focussed on my inevitable end. That is why Moksh is so hard, I believe. Moksh, BY DEFINITION, is understanding that you are not the body and not the senses. How can verbal utterances, which is simply exercising one of your senses, achieve that result? Sundeep
