Guest guest
Dear Friends RAM KRISHN HARE One can get/become the thing in next birth in which his mana is involved at the moment of his death. If one can recite or hear or remember God's name at that time,he can get Moksh.Below is a list of 24 names of God.If one recites them every day,it is certain that he will recite/hear/remember God's name at the moment of his death. Thus ensures Moksh. It is a prayer by Lord Dharm as given in Brahm-Vaivart-Puran.Words in () are part of his prayer but do not form part of names. They are included to give complete prayer. Guest guest
Dear Anil, The title of your message reminds me of a gavel thumping down at an auction. SOLD! :-) That aside, I have read the same thing in the Gita (Srila Prabhupada's interpretation). However, my interpretation of Srila Prabhupada's comments was somewhat different - not so literal and simple. More than simply repeatedly verbally uttering a specific Sanskrit phrase at the moment of death, what I understood was that at the moment of death your mind must be in a calm and detached state, not focussed on the senses or sense objects, but focussed on God. That state, if achieved, is much more important and is what is meant by remembering God at the time of death. It isnt as simple as you seem to be saying, if you think about it - if I were in a plane plummeting towards the ground heading towards certain death, I could probably be screaming names of God, in a lot of languages including Sanskrit, until I met my end, but I would certainly not be able to get my mind into a calm and detached state, not focussed on my inevitable end. That is why Moksh is so hard, I believe. Moksh, BY DEFINITION, is understanding that you are not the body and not the senses. How can verbal utterances, which is simply exercising one of your senses, achieve that result?
