Guest guest
Dear Mr.Mu'min, Refer to Phaldeepika chapter 6 on yogas from Parashara 2000 bookshelf. "Planet occuping an angle in own or exaltation sign" It does not say Kona. It does say that same can be seen from Moon also. My understanding is that Panchamahapursha from Lagna, AL,Moon and Sun would manifest yoga at diffrent levels, like for the self of the person from Lagna ,for the others from AL,at a mental level from moon and soul level from sun. When and for how long they will manifest I can just guess.May be during the Vimshotarri dashas of concerned mahapursha planets? Ex.Chart attached. Sasa yoga from Lagna,Hamsa from Moon and Ruchka from AL and Sun. Mars Dasa is going on but Ruchka yoga may not be strong as Ketu is the lord of Scorpio in this chart being at higher degree then mars though other factors are same.I don't see too much of Ruchka yoga effects in the youngester. The learned may please correct me. With regards, Jagmeet Attachment: (application/octet-stream) ad.jhd [not stored]
Guest guest
Om Jum Sah. Vyam Vyaasadevaaya Namah. Sah Jum Om Dear Mu, Phala Deepika, Adhyaya 6 - Yoga, Sloka 1: "Ruchakabhadrakahamsakamaalavaah sashashakaa iti panchaya cha keetitaah | svabhavanochchagatezu chatusthaye ksitisutaadzu taan ktramasho vadet ||" Above it reads; the 5 yogas; Ruchaka, Bhadra, Hamsa, Maalavya and Sasa, are formed in own(svah) exaltation(ocche) placements, in Chastustaya. Now what does chatustaya mean? for this we look to the begining of this work; Adhyaya 1, Sloka 17½: "praahuvilagnadashasaptachatursthabhaani kendram hi kanathakachatusthayanaamayuvatam|| its read: Lagna, 10th, 7th and 4th are the Kendra, Kanataka or Chatustaya bhavas. Guest guest
Om Jum Sah. Vyam Vyaasadevaaya Namah. Sah Jum Om Dear Jagmeet, The placements from Sun, Moon and Arudha Lagna are fortunate placements, but the Maha Purusha Yoga is from Lagna. Here its very important to understand the results of this Yoga as Parasara has described them. With those given results, there should be no doubt that these Yogas result from Lagna. Guest guest
Dear Visti Ji, Thanks for the explanation.I will check up the BPHS. But the following Sloka 4 of Adhyaya 6 of Phaldeepika by Shri V S Sastri still confounds me.'Just as these five yogas arise when reckoned from the Lagna, similarly they are possible when counted even from the Moon's place.' There is nothing in the stanza that grants the extension of this to Chandra lagna. It does not mention the reference and only says "quadrants". When no reference is mentioned, the default reference is lagna. If the yoga can be reckoned from Chandra lagna also, it would've been mentioned explicitly. In any case, extending the yoga to trines is just ridiculous. Quadrants were explicitly mentioned. Neither Parasara nor Mantreswara mentioned trines at all. This is the fanciful imagination of some astrologers and a clear stretch. Neither Sastri nor deFouw (sp?) is an authority. What Mu'Min mentioned below is totally wrong. > > The PMPYs exist when any one of Mars, Mercury, > > Jupiter, Venus or Saturn occupies its own or > > exaltation sign while at the same time is placed > in an > > angular or trinal house from the Asc. It is > > recommended that it also be seen in the same > position > > from the Moon and Sun - this is the classical view This is merely the view of some modern astrologers who have a fanciful imagination and most certainly not "the classical view" as claimed. The view granted by classics is that the planet has to be in a quadrant in own/exaltation sign. Period. Guest guest
Dear Jagmeet, The Phaldeepika that Visti refers to is the one written by Mantreshwar a.k.a. Markendeya Bhattadri. You are probably reffering to a translation or commentary by V.S. Shastry and the variation indicated by Mr. Shastry could be his own interpretation. It is not part of Phaldeepika. What Visti is stated about Panch Mahapurusha Yoga is the correct position.
