Hello again!

I am still at a loss for how you came up with Rahu-Rahu-Moon. Are

you using another ayanamsa? No matter what I look at, it says that

I'm currently in Rahu-Rahu-Venus.

DOB: June 14, 1978

Place: Bangalore, India (Long: 77E34'58, Lat: 12N59'00)

Time: 2:56 AM, Indian Standard Time

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help. I'm new to this...

I hope you are using the Lahiri Ayanamsa. What is the software you are using to

arrive at the chart, is it Jagannath Hora Lite or any other software? Please

give me those details and i can find where you are going wrong.

Latitude : 77 deg 35'

Longitude : 12 deg N 59'

Thanks!

Prakash.

Hi Prakash,

Yes, Lahiri Ayanamsa. I used the Jagannath Hora Lite software, and

also looked it up at www.yourplanets.com. I'm still coming up with

rahu-rahu-venus or rahu-rahu-sun (using the software). Are your

settings different than mine? This has me completely stumped!

Yes, it works now. The software, when I clicked "Local Mean Time,"

in the birth data, showed 5 hours and 10 minutes as the default. I

went in and changed it to 5 hours and 30 minutes, which gave me the

right results. Everything looks the same as yours, but I'm still

rather curious as to why 360 and not 365 for the nakshatras. Do you

know why, or is it something that can be manipulated to bring about a

result that makes sense?

Thanks again,

Sapna

I have used 360,365 both but 360 made sense with respect to major events in my

life hence i started using 360 and now i am reassured since it works for you

also.

I was about you ask you about the time zone settings 5.30 E of GMT but i saw

your 365. which i knew was different in mine hence started with that. Any way

you got it corrected yourself.. good job.

BTW do you reside in NYC, I am in NJ.

Thanks!

I go to the same temple. We used to live in Flushing when I was

younger and 3 of my aunts still live there. I do work in NY, on

Madison Ave., but I also go to lawschool, so most days I work from

home as an editor. If that doesn't sound suitable for someone with

my horoscope, I don't know what does...taking on too many things at

once...
