Guest guest
As explored in this group earlier and as emphasized by several Gurus, every human has an Ishta Devata, and he/she need not specifically worship corresponding Hindu deities in order to worship a given Ishta Devata. In this regard, I would like to know what is the "Ishta Devata mapping", so to speak, for the Buddhist religion. I have read in places that the Buddha was eventually recognized in the Vedic Hindu religion in the years that followed his life as an avatar of Lord Narayana, who corresponds to Saturn, in Ishta Devata terms. Is this correct? Who or what corresponds to the Sun? SP
