Om Gurave NamahPlease, very best article on Kala Sarpa & Kala Amrita Yoga of

Pt.Sanjay Rath: I do not have the reference at present for the Stanza "Agre

Rahu adhouKetu Sarva madhye Graha..." for Kala Sarpa Yoga (KSY) and the

reversei.e. "Agre Ketu adhou Rahu .." for Kala Amrita Yoga (KAY). There

wereother details about the famines and destruction brought about by theKSY in

mundane matters. This was extended to natal charts. The moot point is that the

nodes (Rahu & Ketu) represent the twoextremities of life like the infra-red

rays (Ketu) and theUltra-violet rays (Rahu) being the two extremeties of the

visiblespectrum of seven colors (VIBGYOR - the remaining seven planets fromSun

to Saturn). Like the Infra-red & Ultra-violet rays are not part ofthe visible

spectrum, yet they can be good (Infra-red can cure manybone related/muscle

related diseases) or bad (UV is very dangerous anddepletes the ozone layer like

Rahu cutting out our breathing systemand causing strangulation, asthama etc) so

also the nodes Ketu & Rahuare not visible, yet they can influence human

life. These two extremities of Human life are the Saint who renounces

allattachment to worldly material existence in search for emancipationfrom

sorrow/re-birth symbolised by Moksha karaka Ketu ruling the Tejas(fire) of

tapasya or the dreaded Criminals who will go to any extentto enjoy the material

enjoyments of this world like the Bhogi - Rahu. These nodes are always opposite

to each other symbolising the oppositepoles of life direction. Every human

being is stationed between thesetwo extremeties at any point of time in his

life. Coming to the question of determining the existence of KSY or KAY,

thefirst thing is to IGNORE the ascendant (Lagna). Place your finger onthe sign

occupied by Ketu and move it zodiacally along the signs tillthe sign occupied by

Rahu. Were all the other seven planets placedwithin these signs from Ketu to

Rahu? If yes, then Kala Sarpa Yogaexists. Similarly, place your finger on the

sign occupied by Rahu andmove it zodiacally along the signs till the sign

occupied by Ketu. Were all the other seven planets placed within these signs

from Rahuto Ketu? If yes, then Kala Amrita Yoga exists. If KSY exists thenthere

is an inherent tendency to enjoy and to grab material comfortsfor oneself. This

can take an extreme form like criminal tendencieslike stealing etc. If KAY

exists, then the tendency is to give upeverything. In any case such people tend

to be extreme in theirdecisions and naturally, there will be physical (Rahu) and

mental(Ketu) suffering just like Rahu and Ketu eclipsing the Sun and

Moonrespectively. In both cases, this is considered a bondage due to Karma of

the lastbirth and will relieve the person or manifest at a certain specificage

depending on the chart. One method of determing this is to use thenatural years

of the planets (refer to Crux of Vedic astrology by thisscribe) where that for

Rahu is 45 and for Ketu is 43.The next natural question is to determine the

planets that can breakthis KSY or KAY related suffering. We know that natural

malefics inKendra (Quadrants) generate Sarpa Yoga. Thus, natural malefic

planets(Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu & Ketu - Sun has been included as a Krura

andnot as a Dushta) only enhace the suffering and potential problemsassociated

with the KSY or KAY while natural Benefic planets (Moon,Jupiter, Mercury &

Venus) can annul the suffering and generategreatness or Maha Yoga. Next comes

the placement of these planets to annul the KSY/KAY andgenerate the Maha Yoga.

If in a chart otherwise having KSY/KAY, thesebenefic planet(s) are placed with

either of Rahu (Bhoga) or Ketu(Moksha) then the suffering ends and he attains

greatness. Now comingto houses, the placement of these planets in the first or

seventhhouse (Satya Peetha) also generates this great yoga. The results

ofKSY/KAY are altered as per the houses they start from and end at.Details are

beyond the scope of this letter.A traditional Vedic Astrologer should not end

without a small note onremedies. "Kaloh Chandi Vinayako" is the Vedic remedy

for this KSY(Chandi) or KAY (Vinayaka - Ganapati) respectively. When the

beneficplanets conjoin the nodes, the deities are Parvati/Gouri

(Moon),Sambasiva (Jupiter), Vishnu (Mercury) and Lakshmi (Venus)respectively.

When natural benefics are in the first house, then thedeity is a form of Vishnu

while in the seventh house a form of Shiva. In this manner the intelligent

astrologer can recommend the correctremedy. -- Yours sisya,Candramukha das...

Dear Das, What if all planets are in between Rahu

(12th)& Ketu (6th), except saturn which is a few

degrees after Ketu but in the same house. Is it also a

type of KAY.

Thanks !

Dear Chandra,

Regarding the article you had written (I am

reproducing the relevant portions):

QUOTE:

If yes, then Kala Sarpa Yoga exists. Similarly, place

My comments are as follows: I presume that when planet

are hemmed as per the Zodiac signs between RAHU and

KETU it is Kala Sarpa Yoga (KSY), you have mentioned

it KAY and vice versa.

It is a mistake or my understanding is wrong. Could

you please clarify.

Namaste,

Dear Chandramukha,

I've tried to send the present message to you personally but it bounced

back. So I send to the group.

I'm aware it is completely off topic but I wanted to react to a common

mistake about Ozone (see original clipped message at the bottom of

present message). I humbly submit the following for your general

information :

May I attempt to correct the following (common) mistake about Ozone.

According to my understanding UV generates (not depletes) Ozone since it

provides the energy that is necessary to split the oxygen molecule into

2 mono-atomic oxygen charges. These ions are then captured by other

molecule of oxygen and form the unstable and ephemeral Ozone molecule.

The thin Ozone layer thus formed in high altitude protects us against

some dangerous light radiations within the UV spectrum (NB: when light

decrease so does the ozone layer. During the night, there is no Ozone !)

Ozone is Nature's number one cleanser of the atmosphere.

- since it is unstable it tends to combine with any other molecules (CFC

for example)

- since it is heavier than air, these complex molecules will fall down

to earth where it will be washed away by water

- Ozone is number 3 most powerful oxidative agent in nature.

Ozone can be applied to purify water but also to burn out poison ('ama')

that has build up inside our body, kill bacteria and bad germs that

can't withstand the presence of oxygen. It thus can help to restore

health.

Warm regards,

Roelof
