Guest guest
The common myth is that in all cases this iis a dreaded Yog and doesnt make the native prosper. ALso some say that it can lift the native to great heights and also bring him down. If i am not wrong then Nehruji and Harshad Mehta also had this. Could some learned scholars expand on this and how does one overcome it. Guest guest
Dear All, Kalasarpa Yoga (Curse of Snakes) occurs when all the planets are hemmed between Rahu and Ketu. I am not clear whether this would occur if the planets are hemmed between Ketu and Rahu. Different authors have different opinions - some say "YES" while others say "NO". One significant point to be noted is that this does not occur if there is a conjuction of any planet with Rahu and Ketu. If the Lagna is not hemmed between Rahu and Ketu (Other planets are hemmed), the Yoga is still effective. The Yoga is said to be bad and does not make the native prosper. The remedical measures for this, is to conduct a pooja at Kalahasta temple near Tirupathi. I am not sure of any other remedical measures. One significant point is that in India Independance chart this Yoga is present. Any other points I hope the members can add to the same. Guest guest
Hello Nisha: Zodiacally means the sequence in which the planets traverse the zodiac (except Rahu and Ketu) So a sequence of Ar(ies),Ta,Ge,Cn,Le,Vi,Li,Sc,Sg,Cp,Aq and Pi(sces) is considered zodiacal. It cannot really be compared to clockwise or anticlockwise because different wasy of casting charts show it differently as jagmeet has mentioned. Guest guest
Dear Sai: As per my understanding presence of a planet in the axis of Rahu and Ketu with all other planets in between breaks the (Kala Sarpa Yoga) KSY/KAY (Kala Amrita Yoga). If a planet is out of axis then the yoga is broken. (If you draw a imaginary line using the Rahu and Ketu positions(degrees, mins and secs) as the two points and all planets fall on one side then the yoge is there and even in one of then falls on other side the yoga is broken). "As per your data rahu in 12th and Ketu in 6th and all planets between Rahu and Ketu ,and saturn a few degrees after Ketu" does not satisfy the "all planets on one side", Saturn breaks the yoga. Note the message by Jay weiss (in the same thread of dicussion a few days back) which mentions "One significant point to be noted is that this does not occur if there is a conjuction of any planet withRahu and Ketu. " Also another point form Jay weiss's article on Jyotishdiscovery website "Breakage of the yoga's occur if any planet conjoins either Rahu or Ketu or if there is a planet in the first or seventh house from Lagna and results in a great Rajayoga at the respective attributed ages." If there is conjuction of saturn and ketu, then the yoga is broken I would assume that the yoga is broken, as saturn is out of the axis. I would request the gurus/other jyotishas to correct me is there are mistakes in what I mentioned. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna, Thanks for posting an informative article on Kalasarpa yoga. I have a few questions in this regard. I hope they are not silly and hopefully someone can answer me. My son has Kalasarpa yoga which is broken in two ways (the Moon is conjunct Rahu in house 2 and Mercury is in the 7th house, his Lagna is Capricorn). The article says that KSY causes suffering due to karma from last life and that the suffering will leave when the yoga breaks. I assume that in my sons case, this can take place in the natural years of Moon (23) or Mercury (31). My question is: Will the yoga break automatically at the appropriate time or will it break only if the Moon (Gauri) or Mercury (Vishnu) are worshipped? And more importantly, can the yoga be broken before the age of 23, if Moon or Mercury are worshipped? Can the parents do the worship on behalf of the native in a childs case? What happens if the yoga is not broken by any planet for a native with KSY: Does he suffer until age 45 and then the suffering ends or the suffering manifests fully at the age of 45? Thanks and regards, Arno vedic astrology, Chandramukha das <chandra@m...> wrote: > Om Gurave Namah > > Please, very best article on Kala Sarpa & Kala Amrita Yoga of Pt. > Sanjay Rath: If KSY exists then there is an inherent tendency to enjoy and to grab material comforts > for oneself. Guest guest
Now I am truly afraid. ok, I've read what is there for me to see so far and I love the example you give about the children in the burning house. works for me. the questions still remaining in my mind are 1) what is a mahayoga and how does it come about and what does it help accomplish and 2) how does one go about "neutralising" (for want of a better expression) a fully formed and functioning KSY (more dangerous to the human existence than the KAY, it seems) if they do not want to wait until age 42? My next job is to go look up celebrity/famous people's charts to see how this yoga operates. thanks again to visti and viswamitra and ishwar and everyone else for bearing with me. nisha. vedic astrology, "Visti Larsen" <vishnu@l...> wrote: > Vyam Vyaasadevaaya Namah > > -- ------------ > > Dear Nisha, > In the future i expect you to answer all the querries regarding Kala Sarpa/Amrita Yoga. > Here are two more links to mails i wrote in the past about this topic: > vedic astrology/message/7255 > vedic astrology/message/6900 > Best wishes > Visti > --- > Bhagavad Purana: http://www.srimadbhagavatam.org > Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra: vedic- astrologybphs.zip > iTRANS 99 Font: http://www.omkarananda- ashram.org/Sanskrit/Itranslt.html > - > nishabhiram > vedic astrology > Wednesday, October 30, 2002 7:38 AM > [vedic astrology] Re: Kala sarpa yoga > > > thanks! this is good! makes it very clear. yes, this means that the > chart I am looking right now at would have KSY if not for a mercury > conjunction Ketu. mercury is placed OUTSIDE the rahu-ketu axis. ok. > just thinking aloud. thanks ishwar! > > got one more question: what does this maha yoga do? does the mercury > placed thus (conj. ketu outside the axis) then form a maha yoga with > ketu? what is the significance of such a yoga? > > nisha. > > vedic astrology, "avikrishna" <avikrishna> wrote: > > Hello Nisha: > > > > Zodiacally means the sequence in which the planets traverse the > > zodiac (except Rahu and Ketu) > > So a sequence of Ar(ies),Ta,Ge,Cn,Le,Vi,Li,Sc,Sg,Cp,Aq and Pi (sces) > > is considered zodiacal. > > > > It cannot really be compared to clockwise or anticlockwise because > > different wasy of casting charts show it differently as jagmeet has > > mentioned. > > > > Ishwar > > > > vedic astrology, "nishabhiram" <nishabhiram.> wrote: > > > Oh goody! Guest guest
dear nisha, read Visti's email to me - just scroll down - and go to the email links he gives. he uses an image of a firewall(rahu-ketu axis) behind which there are a dozen or so children (the planets). if there's a good little child (benefic planet) *outside* the burning wall, she can go get help. if the child is bad (malefic planet), she might just laugh at the ones inside. I thought that was pretty good. anyway, go take a look at it. he says it better. nisha. vedic astrology, Nisha <nishu_indiia> wrote: > > Om Namo Bhagawate Vaasudevaaya > It is said 'a benefic with either of nodes cancels KAY/KSY prematurely'.
