Guest guest
Namaste , Narasimha ( et. al) thank you for your repsonse...yes I am keen on the importance Of the weekday and its lord. It was magnified by Tithi Pravesh. I mention this and refer back to Sanjay's note that is quite possible to determine the day of the week by one's spiritually advanced abilities. This is not unusual to hear, for clarity comes to one that is enlightened ( Ritam will enighten those that touch it). Your comments are very insightful... thank you. vedic astrology, "pvr108" <pvr@c...> wrote: > Dear Frank, > > > This is key to casting an accurate Tithi Pravish chart e.g. the > > weekday ruler at the commencement of the native's year has great > > influence on the coming year. > > That said, and after thousands of years and waxing and waning of > > Sat Yuga to Kali Yuga what guide point exists that says monday is > > monday! > > SanjayP has already replied to you. Is it the time one enters the office premises, the time one signs some official document, or when one are allotted your desk/computer/phone/chair etc. This question has been bothering me for a long time. regards, Krishna. Guest guest
A related question that has been bothering me a long time is: When does a college or university begin, when a group of founders meet and agree on starting a college, or when the first teaching begins? Guest guest
Larry, Ask yourself these questions: 1. When is a baby born? When its parents begin its manufacture (not the right word, I guess) or when it finally gets born? 2. When you go out and buy a car, which time is to be considered for its auspiciousness? The time the car designers huddled around to conceive it, or when the manufacture is completed, or when it lands in the showroom, or when you actually pay the bucks for it? 3. When does a guy die? When his breath begin to fail him, or when he's born, or when his parents meet to you-know-what, or when the bloke has breathed his last? Most likely you'll have guessed the answer to your query by now. Guest guest
Dear Ramapriya, Isn't there a simpler answer to this question? As far as your example is concerned, there is enough controversy about determining the correct birth time. regards, Krishna. Ramapriya D wrote: > Larry, > > Ask yourself these questions: > > 1. Guest guest
Dear Krishna, Having devised the notion of "statutory time" in interpreting cricket law, which notion I must confess has caught the delight and fancy of many a veteran umpire, I don't think I could've actually replied Larry any more tenuously. But now that you've dragged me into it... Consider a non-astrological example: A shoots B on August 1, B dies after three months on life support on November 1, and A is convicted of murder the following May 1. When did the murder occur? **** On May 1, when it is adjudged to be a murder, and we can safely call A a murderer without being subjected to a libel action? This corresponds to the opinion of those who consider the time of the wide as after the ball passes the bowling crease and the Umpire judges it wide. Those who would say the murder occurred on May 1 have corrupted "presumed innocent until proven guilty" into "innocent until proven guilty". **** On November 1, when all the conditions have been satisfied that determine the crime of murder, because of the death of the victim? This corresponds to the contention that a wide occurs when the evidence that it is a wide is complete, when the ball actually passes out of the reach of the Batsman. **** On August 1, when the shooting occurred? This corresponds to my implied answer to Larry that a college comes into being when instituted as a, well, institute. Simply put, at the time of its inauguration or whatever. Now I don't know what the (criminal) law says about when the murder occurred, but it is not absurd if it deems that the murder took place on August 1. I may be wrong in saying that the college comes into being at the instant of the inauguration, but I sincerely believe I'm not being absurd. Sorry Krishna, but I can't give a simpler explanation Warm regards, Ramapriya hubli (AT) vsnl (DOT) com - Krishna Padmasola vedic astrology Monday, October 21, 2002 8:08 PM Re: [vedic astrology] Importance of Weekday and Panchanga (Re: Tithi Pravish and the day of the week.)
