Guest guest
Dear Friends and Respected Gurus, Namaskar. As we know BPHS and other classics attach great importance to Shashtyamsa, sometimes even more than Rasi and Navamsa. Then it is a general purpose chart and must be referred for all matters. Nowadays, when we have correct timings of birth we should use this chart too. Recently I have come across a horoscope where Rasi and Navamsa promises are average but D-60 is excellent. What to conclude in such situations ? Gurus may please guide. Praveen Kumar (Mumbai)

If you check the archives for the last 30 days, you will find some useful posts. Shashtyamsa shows the past life of the person. It shows exactly what the native did in the past life. It is a combination of rasi, navamsa, dasamsa, vimsamsa etc of past life. We reap what we sow. What kind of opportunities we get now depends on what we did in past life. That is why D-60 is said to be important. Moreover, each life is a new learning experience for the soul. So the main experiences of the past life that resulted in some lessons for the soul are often repeated in some way or the other in this life as a test to see if the lessons were learnt. Let us say somebody defied father and married a foreigner and broke his family in past life. In this life, let us say he sincerely wants to marry the girl that his parents also approve of. Still, he may be tested. A foreigner or a lady from a different culture/background that his parents do not like may become interested in him and tempt him. In that context, D-60 shows things that may not be too obvious from the rasi chart. But, remember that D-60 is very sensitive to birthtime changes. You are better off not using it than misusing it.
