Dear Ramapriya,

How can Ishta Devata run away? Ishta Devata always protects you. Indeed blessed

are those who find their Ishtas; maybe you are running away from your Ishta?

Best regards,

Om Gurave Namah

Dear Rama,

Let me try attempting this.

A retro planet indicates fruits denied and the only way to achieve this is by

putting more efforts. Thus to realize the istha, this would mean that the

person will have to make extra efforts. Also a retro planet always has the

knack of reversing it;s indications... thus again indicating that delays,

frustrations could manifest in the path towards realization of the ishta.

Dear Hari,

A planet is normally expected to proceed zodiacally, wanting to attain as high a

longitude as possible within a rasi. When it does the anti-zodiacal, I see it as

if it doesn't want to do that. When planets are said to be in bheeta avastha and

all that, it appears that they're actually running away (in fear or cowardice or

whatever) from what they're s'posed to be doing. My query germinated from such

thoughts.

Like you must've observed, my question wasn't on the AK itself but that planet

which is to show who the ID is. By being retro, does it not want to show the ID

at all, or what is it? That was, and continues to be, my doubt.

Partha's comments (his first non-spiteful response to me, didja observe? :)) on

chestabala were correct, but not somehow relevant in the context of what I've

asked, I felt. I could be wrong.

Warm regards,

Rama

The planet that is in bheeta avastha is because of fast motion. When a planet is

in ati-chara motion it is alarmed and is running away. Whereas the planet that

is retro is meditating. For the malefics it is scheming whereas for benefics it

is thinking deeply about a particular issue. Mahatma gandhi had his AK as

jupiter which is retrograde in aries in 7th house. Do u think he was running

away or what. Jupiter shows satya marga, so when jupiter becomes AK , gandhi

was actually exerting a lot of chesta or effort to attain his goal. His

campaigns were called satyagraha. Similarly when the the planet that shows

ishtadevatha is retrograde then the person would try to attain the goal shown

by ishta and his placements. Retro planets are quite powerful, as they show

links to past life also. There are many mails by Sanjayji on the issue of

retrograde planets in archives, if you cant find them then do mail me, as i

have saved all the info that sanjayji had quoted till now in our

groups.regardspartha

Om Gurave Namah

Dear Rama,

Let;s start with bheeta avastha. Bheetha avastha comes only when the planet

motion is very fast. but a planet which has just started retro isnt fast at

all. This i remember Sanjay guru correcting me some time back. Thus this planet

which has just started retro isnt close to being fast at all. The bheeta avastha

has to do with speed and not with direct or retro motion.

Your mail re. this topic made me recollect what my guru Visti taught me sometime

back. Let me try to put it in prespective.

Now to the effects of a retro planet in the 12th from karakamsa. The same logic

of what Visti taught me regarding badhakesh being retro. Badhakesh is similar

to lord ganesh. When badhakesh is retro lord ganesh isnt doing what he likes

best... like eating ladoo's.... what happens? all vigna's land up at our door

step!!!! what does one do? we pray more vrigorously so that he does accept our

offerings and removes all these vigna's... my earlier mail kinda told the same

thing... because of the fact that the planet is retro a couple of things

happen.

1. There is a denial of fruits for which one needs to put in a lot of efforts.

2. There is a reversal of the indications of that particular planet and one

finds many obstacles in the path. In this case the istha is difficult to

please!..

Thus a retro planet does show the istha.. but the means of pleasing the ishta

would be very tough since the sacrifice you are offering wont be accepted

easily.

Let me know what you think.

Dear Sanjayji and other gurus,

I have a doubt regarding what you have explained. What happens when

Saturn turns retrograde in an enimical sign? (this is for cases where

Saturn is a malefic for the native). I see currently Sat turned retro

a few days ago in Gemini which makes it retrograde in an enimical

sign. So if its normal course is reversed, does that mean that this

is now going to result in benefic results for the native?

Similarly in Dec Guru will become retrograde in Cancer. Since current

motion of Guru is in bheeta awastha, what will that make the results?

Greatly appreciate your insights.
