Guest guest
Namaste friends, The mail below was forwarded to me by a friend. I first thought of ignoring it and not dignifying it with a response. However, the fact is that this mail is from a respected astrologer from the ISKCON family and carries some weight. Silence is often taken as half-agreement. While it may below Sanjay's dignity to respond to it, it is my duty as his student to set things straight. I apologize to those who are not interested in this matter, but there is a point here that must be made. It is true that there were organizational hiccups at the USA branch of Pt. Rath's organization. There were also serious accusations by a disgruntled student. However, it is unfair to deny Pt. Rath the benefit of doubt. To the best of my knowledge, the allegations of financial impropriety against him are totally false. In my experience, Pt. Rath is a simple man who never keeps anything belonging to others and only wants to give and not take. It is sad that the unfortunate fall of a disgruntled student is being gleefully cashed in by some shameless rivals to put Pt. Rath down. It is unfortunate that a devotee of Krishna like Shyamasundara Dasa is using quotes from "anonymous" people to even question Pt. Rath's knowledge and ability to see charts (see at the end of the enclosed mail). THAT is the limit. Always there will be jealous rivals who want to put a good man down, but someone like Shyamasundara will do well to stay away from the politics of some jealous people. Otherwise, one will have to club him too with those jealous people. Some facts here: (1) There is no serious war. There is only one disgruntled person who is completely isolated in the organization as he refused to obey Pt. Rath's directives. (2) Pt. Rath is the greatest Jyotish scholar alive by miles. Nobody comes anywhere near him in the width or depth of knowledge. He is too learned a man to be understood by every ordinary person. There were times when even I thought he was contradicting himself. As I worked harder to understand him, I would understand that there was no contradiction! If my 4-year old son calls a donkey a pony, I might just agree that it is a pony. When he grows up, he will realize. Similarly, Pt. Rath may have given inaccurate answers at times to avoid indigestion in students and may have appeared to be contradicting himself later. Basically, he is a man with deep knowledge and a mission. Trying to judge him is foolish. I have read many authors and interacted with many scholars, but nobody comes anywhere close to him. This is not sycophancy from a student. Members know that I am fiercely independent and that I disagreed and argued with Sanjay many times. (3) You quoted an "anonymous" critic: > > " For the first six months I thought Sanjay was extremely knowledgeable > also > > but I kept waiting for the punch line that would put all his vast > collection > > of techniques into some sort of system. To this day I'm still waiting and > > have 2 of his books which also don't pull it together. Thus I concluded > > about 2 years ago that he may have some knowledge but is primarily a fraud > > .It seems that some of our devotees have been stung. " It is great that Sanjay is even teaching a lot of secrets. If you expect him to spoon-feed it and "pull it all together" for you, you are expecting too much. It is upto you to pull it all together. If somebody calls him a "fraud" just because of this, he is either foolish or over-selfish and jealous. (4) Another "anonymous" person was quoted thus: > > " It is not surprising but I am surprised .HH Prahladananda Swami had > told > > me he was a nice man and he had seemed helpful on lists and also money did > > not appear to be on his agenda. Nonetheless Sanjay has said so many silly > > things, is a spiritual chameleon, a confusing author, awarded absurd > titles > > and has not demonstrated consistent ability to read charts or make > > predictions that it is very disappointing that people are referring to him > > as Guru or Gurudeva ." Has not demonstrated consistent ability to read charts or make predictions???? I have seen him live, giving so many correct predictions at Princeton, Ukiah and my house, about the current life and about the past life. As in the example I gave in my article on Shashtyamsa the other day, Sanjay told someone that he was murdered by several people carrying swords, axes etc in a rice field in his past life and the surprised native recalled that he had inexplicable recurring dreams of several people with axes chasing him in rice fields a few years back. Obviously, Sanjay's reading is correct and the dream was of his past life death. Sanjay gave past life readings to many people which matched their nadi readings. Sanjay told people things correctly about themselves, spouses, parents, siblings, in-laws of siblings etc. I saw him giving so many accurate readings personally. I saw him even identifying major sins by elders a couple of generations back using higher divisional charts, which were corraborated later by the natives. I saw him predicting at the level of deha-antardasa (6th level) after rectification! If someone wants to believe that Sanjay cannot see charts or does not have a uniform and consistent approach, they are either hasty or jealous. Are you a student of Sanjay and have you spent some time with him? If not, don't talk about his abilities. Don't expect him to teach everything in books. He may teach all the principles, but the final application comes only if you observe him closely. One last word: I am not here to waste my precious time in arguments. So many people are waiting for my help and I get to help very few people everyday. The purpose of this mail is to let members know that there is a vicious propaganda against Pt. Sanjay Rath. One will do well to ignore the propaganda. Being of Pisces lagna, Sanjay is a little sensitive. It is unfortunate that people are attacking a genuine, selfless and learned scholar like him for no reason. Shyamasundara will do well to realize that his "anonymous" quotes questioning Pt. Rath's knowledge and abilities are quite uncalled for and smack of mischievous intentions. Pt. Rath told me that he has a few more years to spend on Jyotish and that he plans to concentrate on spirituality after that. If we throw obstacles in his path and restrict the output from him, it will be the loss of Jyotish world and not his loss. He is not after money or after fame. He wants to give. Do we want to take or do we want to fight with him and belittle the selfless giver? May Jupiter's light shine on us, P.V.R. Guest guest
List Members, Shyamasundara Dasa, who authored the criticism against Sanjay Rath, has quite a reputation as being a critical person, and I am putting it lightly. I don'tknow Sanjay Rath from Adam, I never read a book of his, but for him to be a fraud would be something. The word " fraud " is serious. Which Dinanath went to Delhi, the Afro-American disciple of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami who used to drive a cab in D.C. for a few years?
