I have had a very fulfilling time...had kids, got promotions, received lots of appreciation for my work, constructed houses, bought cars and simultaneouly moved closer to God during rahu mahadasa and antar dasas. That's because Rahu is in Simha rasi..and simha rahu and kumbha ketu are both supposed to give raja yoga. When these influences, apparently opposed to each other, operate simultaneously, what would happen? I am curious about Rahu-Ketu period because it simulates Nakshatra- wise, Venus-Jupiter dasa (again supposed to be inimical to each other) and Ketu is the only planet in Jupiter's (lagna lord in lagna) constellation. BTW, I was born in Venus-Jupiter Vimshottari dasa! He got an offer in multinational company. Later he went to abroad twice and now he is working in abroad. He has his rahu in 8th house and in libra. But the important thing is Rahu is in its own nakshatra swati. He has 4 planets(mars, sun, Mercury and Rahu) in 8 th house and parivartana between 8th and 9th lords. But still it is in conjuction with sun and Mercury also(so it has to behave like 4th,6th and 10th house lord also?). I think it is really good placement to be in swati nakshatra(oqn nakshatra of rahu). I have seen in some other charts also. It is giving excellent growth in career. His yoga point falls under satabishak(Rahu's nakshatra).Rahu is in its own nakshatra swati. So in Rahu maha dasa it is giving excellent results, though rahu is placed in 8th house. In my case yogi planet is ketu and avayogi planet is Rahu.So in both 2 antradasas m getting good results. Thank you for your information. My rahu is avayogi and he is in his own nakshatra. The results have not been good so far in the 8 years of rahu dasa. Obviously no concept could be applied in totality. The other planetary positions also have to be taken into consideration. Neverthless from research point of view, it is beneficial to give thought to this concept whenever studying a horoscope. I've always found this technique to be a useful tool in my armoury of astrological concepts. If applied with proper thought, it will not mislead you. During the mahadasa of Venus was the onset of rajayoga for me. Lakshmi's Yogi is Ketu and duplicate Yogi is Sun. Both spiritually inclined [this is confirmed from D-9 as well]. Further, Rahu is owned by debilitated Venus' star in AL itself, protecting Gulika's placement, and I think, she would be experiencing psychic phenomena especially during 1992 - 1994. These "flashes", I feel, are futile with marana karaka Saturn's aspect on 10th and Venus. Rahu's dispositor, Sun is in its own mulatrikona with Jupiter casting its protective shield over 5th [children] and 9th [fortune] during 1994 - 1996. The especial spiritual awakening will happen during Mar 2002 - 2003, with Ketu sub in operation. Venus' comeback after that may have the same strong psychic phenomena like during 1992 onwards. Rahu is also PK, so would have blessed her with children during mahadasa of Rahu.
