Practical Use of D-60 (Shashtyaunsa-(how to read D-60?))

Dear Imran,

D-60 has traditionally been kept as a secret because it can abused. After

all, when you tell somebody "you did this in your past life, you did that in

your past life", where is the reference point for judging the accuracy? So

astrologers can make up their own stories to scare a client and generate

some extra business in remedies etc.

Use D-60 very carefully (or don't use it until you become an expert).

Moreover, note that lagna in D-60 changes once in every 2 minutes on

average. So don't use it unless you are very sure of the birthtime.

I have been cryptically mentioning things about D-60 on this list so that

only the intelligent students can understand.

D-60 basically shows the past life. It is essentially like a combination of

rasi, navamsa etc of the past life. All principles applicable to rasi chart

(and some applicable to navamsa too) apply to it. For example, 10th house

shows past life profession and trines show past life abilities. Most good

astrologers, for example, have Jupiter in a trine (if not dharma trikona,

atleast a moksha trikona) in D-60.

One thing that is sometimes verifiable about past life is phobias etc

resulting from the past life death. Look at the 3rd house from AL in D-60.

Just as the 3rd from AL in rasi shows the circumstances and manner of death

in this life, 3rd from AL in D-60 shows the circumstances and manner of

death in the past life (read Jaimini Sutras carefully). Death is a very

important event in life. After the death, mind becomes bodyless and goes

through a lot of thoughts. Until Maheswara separates the soul from mind,

soul will accompany the mind and observe the experiences of the mind. Thus

the trauma resulting from death will carry some imprints to the next life

with the soul.

For example, I was arguing with an astrologer about his D-60 lagna. I picked

one and he picked another. I asked, "but if if you take xyz lagna, then

exalted Moon goes to the 3rd house from AL. It shows death in water in past

life. That should give hydrophobia (fear of water) in this life. Do you have

it". He confirmed it and I agreed with the lagna chosen by him.

In another case recently, I asked a lady if she is scared of heights. I

rectified her chart based on many events and, in the resulting D-60, 3rd

from AL is Sg containing Venus. Sg shows death by fall. Venus shows a

vehicle. She possibly fell down from a height in a vehicle and died in her

past life. That was why I asked her if she was afraid of heights. She

immediately said yes. She said heights scare her a lot. Especially, she

added, when she goes in a car on a hill or a bridge, she involuntarily

starts thinking of what will happen in the car falls down. She said she just

cannot suppress that thought. All those thoughts are clearly due to some

supra-conscious remnants of a traumatic end in the past life.

There was one chart that some of us students saw along with Sanjay at Ukiah

in the hotel room. Based on the 3rd from AL in D-60, Sanjay and we students

guessed that the native was murdered by several people carrying a lot of

crude weapons like axes and we also guessed that all this happened in fields

(just read Jaimini carefully on the 3rd from arudha lagna!). Whether you can

believe it or not, the native told us that he was haunted by a recurring

dream for several months a few years back. In the dream, he said, he was

running in some fields and a lot of people were chasing him with axes etc.

The dream would end and he would get up. The same dream repeated several

times and he never understood why he was getting that dream. It is

remarkable that what he was told by Sanjay and us matches the dream.

Clearly, the death experience of the past life was so imprinted on the soul

as a supra-conscious memory that something he was doing then reminded the

soul of it and brought the memory to the fore of the sub-conscious mind.

If you want to learn D-60, take the charts of people who had obtained some

nadi readings from reliable sources. Without learning about the readings,

give independent readings based on D-60 (after rectifying the birthtime

based on other divisional charts of course). Then ask the native to share

the nadi readings and see if there is any match. But you need a lot of

practice. [FYI, nadis are some Indian texts where readings were given about

thousands/millions of people by ancient scholars. Based on the thumbprint,

they index your chart from the ancient tomes and give your readings. Some of

them are fake, but some are amazingly correct.]

If the native has any phobias or specific inexplicable/irrational fears, use

that info to rectify D-60. Let us see more examples. Suppose somebody

occasionally feels the irrational fear of being ambushed and shot, he

probably has Mars (weapon) and Rahu (cheating and bad death) aspecting or

occupying the 3rd from AL in D-60. Suppose somebody has the irrational fear

that a staircase may collapse or some railings may break and he will fall

down etc, he probably died because of such mistakes in past life (Ketu

occupying or aspecting 3rd from AL in D-60). He is oversensitive to such

mistakes in this life.

Until today, whenever somebody - especially my kids - chokes even a little

bit, I feel a chill in my spine. I feel as if something really bad could

happen and immediately rush there in great hurry. It scares me no end. My

wife smiles and re-assures that it's nothing. I can never react coolly like

her to any potential choking incident. It just scares me no end. In my past

life, somebody close to me must've died by choking. Then only this

irrational fear can be explained. Probably it is debilitated Moon with Rahu

aspecting Cancer, 3rd from the sthira karaka of children, Jupiter, in my

D-60. Cancer is aspected by Jupiter joined by Ketu, showing a mistake (Ketu)

when eating (Jupiter). Rahu gives bad death and Moon with him ensures that.

So one of my children in my past life may have died by choking. So, whenever

my children come anywhere near choking in this life, it gives me chills. It

is all involuntary and instinctive. It works at a level higher than even the

sub-conscious level. It's called the supra-conscious level of soul.

All our irrational fears and instincts can be traced to D-60. Of course,

there is a lot more to D-60, but not now and not here.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

PVR (aka Narasimha)

Respected Narsimhaji,

Very valuable and informative post indeed. This raises my further

inquisitiveness regarding placement of other planets at 3rd from AL like

sun, mars, jup, ketu, saturn, mercury etc. We were taught that malefics at

3rd from AL gives material benefits. Is it applicable in D60 also? Planet

placements at 3rd from AL also tells about death circumstances. How these

two are related?

Regards.
