Guest guest
Hello, Many thanks for this compliment, but it should not be forgotten that I am neither at home in vedic astronomical and astrological calculation nor a programmer. But I have an interest and I always try to search such sort of thing which can become useful in this regard. You have asked about Sattrimsa(D-36), which is hardly used, though some take it. Even I didn't know more before your this message. According to you, this varga D-36 is distributed into thirty six segments. I have completed the excel sheet for D-36 chart computation, but unfortunately my system is not supporting "attachment" for the time being. Otherwise I wanted to send this simple formulation with example. Now I lay the explanation, Since MS Excel is a worksheet, therefore for any sort of computation it requires prior tabulated value, if we do not use macro or VB. Though this varga do not have even classification like D-9 therefore first we have to construct a table for D-36 on the same file 1 2 3 4 5 ......... 30 Ari Sco Sag Cap Aqu Pis .......... Lib Tau Can Leo Vir Lib Sco .......... Gem Gem Sag Cap Aqu Pis Ari ........... Sco .................................................................................. Pis Vir Lib Sco Sag Cap .......... Leo ****************************************** Convert respect degrees minutes of planets into dd-mm-ss formate, e.g. I have natal Venus at 197.797222, using relation =MOD(B25,30)/24 , (where B25 is the cell position of 197.7972222 on worksheet) which gives 0.741550926. Now go to format menu /cell/number, and choose time hh:mm:ss for B25, you will get 17:47:47 i.e. 17 degrees 47 minutes and 47 seconds of Libra. Now for computing D-36, let you have 17:47:47 in cell B25, Libra in cell C25 and D-26 table (as shown above) covers region A5 to AK16. Then write function : =VLOOKUP(C25,A5:AK16,ROUNDUP(B25/((30/36)/24),0)+1,0) The above function yields you Aqu corresponding Venus, i.e 17:47:47 Libra falls in Aquarius Sattrimsa. Here VLOOKUP is the modified/advanced form of old if-than clause in MS Excel. Regards M.Imran - Karachi Dear Muhammad, A little while back I wrote to you regarding your excellent post on the Excel formulation of divisional charts in the SJVC list with a query attached. I do hope you don't mind me writing directly, but there is enough clutter on the list already. Did you receive my email? It related to a divisional chart known as the D-36 (Sattrimsha) which is excellent for delineating prarabdha karma. Each sign is divided into 36 segments of fifty minutes span. Aries begins with Scorpio; Taurus begins with Cancer; Gemini begins with Sagittarius; Cancer begins with Aquarius; Leo begins with Libra; Virgo begins with Pisces; Libra begins Taurus; Scorpio begins with Capricorn; Sagittarius begins with Gemini; Capricorn begins with Leo; Aquarius begins with Aries; Pisces begins with Virgo. The rest follow on from there. My query was what is the Excel formula for calculating degrees and minutes in this varga? Any assistance gratefully received. My email is kairos (AT) hotkey (DOT) net.au Many blessings from sunny Sydney, Peter Richard Faith Hill - Exclusive Performances, Videos, &; more faith.
