Guest guest
Vyam Vyasa-devaya Namah, Dear List, A few days back I posted a question regarding mutual aspects of luminaries. I thought the aspect of Sun over moon might overshadow moon as sun is too bright, but Ramapriya explained me that there is nothing wrong with that and in fact it is good for moon. Now, what about conjunction of luminaries? I am very interested in relationships between these luminaries as in my horoscope, either the two lunimaries mutually aspect each other or are conjunct. Mutual aspects in D1, D9, D3, D4, D7, D10, D11, D12, D27) and conjunct in D2, D5, D6, D8, D16, D20, D24, D30, D40, D45 and D60. None of them is in debilitation in any of these charts. While they are afflicted by malifics in one or two charts, in most cases either the sun or moon is in exalted, in its own rasi or part of a good/raja yoga or conjunct with benefics like Jupiter. The only prominent malefic association is in rasi where Moon is conjunct with Ketu in 4 and sun with Rahu in 10, in a KSY/KAY combination broken by moon. No other planets (with the exception of nodes ofcourse) seem to have such a relationship. Thanks in advance. -Siva.

A conjunction of planets in the same house is the most dramatic and intense relationship of all. The area of life that'll be most affected will be the house they're in, all the matters ruled by this house will come to the forefront. I guess the crux of it all is that the two conjoining planets must be natural friends or neutral at worst. I infer this from the way temporary relationships are defined. Temporary friends of a planet are those that are in the three houses on either side of the house in which the planet is. If Sun is in Ge, its temporary pals are those that are in Pi, Ar, Ta, Cn, Le and Vi. Note that Ge itself is missing! Which means that, if Sun and Ven are conjoined, hell is likely to break looses. They're naturally foes, and no love lost temporarily either. This is the general rule. I just apply the same principle to all D-charts too. > The only prominent malefic association is in rasi where Moon is conjunct with > Ketu in 4 and sun with Rahu in 10, in a KSY/KAY combination broken by moon. Just to confirm whether KSY is indeed broken, check for the longitudes for Su and Mo. One of them has to be on the leeward side, i.e. Mo should have a higher longitude than Ra, and Su a lower one than Ke. > No other planets (with the exception of nodes ofcourse) seem to have such a relationship. I've read somewhere in BPHS that Ra and Ke behave like the planet they're with. Left to themselves, they behave like the lords of the houses they're in. Hari Katti keeps reminding me that Ra behaves like Sa and Ke like Ma; sounds logical, since Ra and Ke have their own houses in Aq and Sc. > Thanks in advance.> -Siva.
