Rao is from Machilpilliputnam )I think that's how you spell it), that's in South India. He learned Astrology from his Mother, who was expert in Prasna, or Horary Astrology. He was taught this at an early age, which is common for AStrologers in India. Rao has an experience in Astrology that spans some 40 yrs or so, and it has been reputed that he has analyzed upwards of 100,000+ charts. He is an avid researcher and teacher of Astgrology, and continues this in New Delhi, India, where he now lives. Rao has made some groundbreaking researches into Jaimini AStrology, among other things, and has written many books on various aspects of Vedic Astrology. Rao is also a student of spiritual practices, and he has written several books on his experiences with his gurus. Several years back, Rao made a few trips to the USA, and on one of them, he gave a week long seminar wherein which he talked at length on Jaimini Astrology and Ashtakvarga. I have the tapes from these seminars, and they have been very helpful to me. Rao has been known to be a consultor to the many gov't officials in India, and one of his biggest issues if how Astrologers price-gouge people. Hope this helps.
