Guest guest
Dear Narasimha and list, I've been reviewing Narasimha's Narayana dasa handout from the East COast conference and I have a question about one of the examples. ( Chart attached) I'd be grateful for some guidance. In the exercise we are asked to find the dasa sequence. Scorpio is the starting sign as it has more planets. Both Ketu and Saturn are in the lagna and are exceptions to the usual Shiva ( every 6th sign) progression given by a fixed sign. Ketu reverses the direction and Saturn makes the sequence regular Brahma progression and zodiacal direction. Since both are in lagna, we should see which one is stronger and Narasimha give the hint "use advancement of sign" to find the stronger. Saturn in more advanced being at 14' since Ketu is at 3' ( subtracting 27 from 30). My question is why isn't Ketu stronger by being in his own sign? Thus the dasa sequence being Sc, Ar, Vi..... and not Sc, Sg, Cp as given. With Best WIshes, Karen Attachment: [not stored]
Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Jaya Jagannatha Dear Karen, I recall the example given by Sanjay ji as to the attributes of Saturn. As Saturn is an old man, he would be absolutely oblivious to any rule. The analogy was that of the grandfather of the house who would still be controlling the affairs even if he were to be sick or on death-bed.So Saturn would have the final say. Lets wait for the Gurus comments as your question does have intuitive appeal. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna, Dear Sudharsan, Thanks for reminding me about Guruji's words about the symbolism of Saturn as the old grandfather on crutches...he won't jump and won't walk backwards...and Ketu is the rebellious 7 year old who will do the opposite of what is expected but loves to jump. So, is that to say that Saturn will have his way regardless of advancement of degrees? I also would like clarification from the gurus.
