No, I didn't mean to say that Rahu in 9th makes a devotee of Krsna. I just wanted to say that 'although' I have Rahu in 9th, still I'm a devotee. Of course, this is caused by Atmakaraka and Moon, lagna lord, in the 9th. Concerning the Jyotishtoma sacrifice, I believe it is an ancient Vedic sacrifice, maybe jyoti-ista-homa, a sacrifice to the Sun-god, the istha of light? Certainly I have a lot of sacrifice in my life also, because I'm a priest and perform regularly some homa's. Amazingly, my vivaha-samskara took place at the start of Sun-Rahu antardasha, look at my Navamsa, Rahu is with Moon in 12th from karakamsha and Moon is 7th lord.
