This is with respect to two examples given in CoVA. Kindly help me. 1) Chart No 35 Page No 118 of CoVA In this example, the 3rd Lord Mars is in the 12th from AL. The explanation says that since 3rd Lord Mars is in the 12th, this results in the loss of co-borns. No planets aspect the 3rd from AL 2) Chart No 36, Page No 121 of CoVA. In this example also the Lord of 3rd is in 12th, but the 3rd house is being aspected by Sun and hence it is said that it gives to co- borns (male). " My doubt is a planet when it is in 12th from AL, causes losses. How it causes losses can be seen from the karakatwa of the planet right?. For example SUN means through government etc. But according to 1) it seems that 3rd lord being in 12th from AL causes losses to co-borns itself rather than losses via co-borns (Mars significator for brothers). Planets in/aspecting the 12H from AL indicate the source of expense. For Ex. Venus aspecting may indicate Sister/Wife who will be the cause of expenditure. Saturn indicates elder brother ... and so on. In the example you gave [Chart No 36, Page No 121 of CoVA] Suns influence on 12H from AL shows expenses through govt. The other is used in the analysis of siblings.[Chart No 35 Page No 118 of CoVA] In the example you gave, Mars is the 3L from AL and is posited in 12H from AL, hence this causes loss of sibling. OTOH, in the same example, you can also construe the placement of Mars in 12H from AL as expenses through younger brothers. Hope this helps.
