I was under the impression that it was the former but I did come across an astrologer's statement yesterday that it is from the ascendant. Could some of the learned ones here please clarify? This usually gives mental tensions and bad health. It adversly affects the house moon lords. for example if for Ge lagna moon is in the 8th, during the narayana dasa of Cancer there would be problems in the area of 2nd house significations. Am sure learned members and guru's will comment on this.
