Guest guest
Can the Gurus and learned throw some light on how to fix the navamsa lagna. For most of us that were born in hospitals, the birth time is given by the doctors or hospital authorities which is generally off by upto 10 or in extreme cases 15 minutes. They used to generally round off the time! (Eg, 1.30 PM or 2 am, etc). OK, now my question is how to rectify this birth time while the native is still relatively young (no major events such as marriage, or children, etc). This is a big issue for me now because a correct navamsa lagna is absolute necessity for matching horoscopes. However, in my case, if I use the given time (1.30 pm 27-sept,1977), I arrive at scorpio lagna for navamsa. I used some nadi based calculations (available at astroexpert.com) which say my time has to be either 1.23.40 PM or 1.39.40 PM since I am male. If I use 1.23 pm, I get Thula lagna for navamsa and if I use 1.40pm, I get Vargottama Dhanus lagna for navamsa. I consulted with three astrologers and each one of them picked a different lagna. Can someone throw light on how to identify the correct navamsa lagna (which will correct my birth time). However all the three times produce the same rasi chart and same planetary positions in navamsa chart. The only thing that differs is navamsa lagna! Thanks. Siva. Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah, Dear Siva, Navamsa shows up inherent traits of the person, Look at the trines of of Navamsa lagna to see the different abilities of the person. Like Sun/Moon in trines could show a musician of vocalist, Sun in Navamsa lagna a person interested in Political work ; Sun in 5th can give Gita knowledege etc, Moon a writer, Jupiter a person interested in shastra and knowledge in general, Mercury good business skills, Saturn a hard worker or traditionalist, Mars in could give logical person, Venus could give keen reader or perhaps a poet?, Rahu could give diabolic thougts, Ketu mathematics. Navamsa lagna sign also modifies physical features of the person alot the modifications are similar to what the sign gives in Rasi. Position of Navamsa lagna with Atmakaraka(King) could show a fortunate or lesser fortunate a person is respect to health or social standing. Aspects of these planets on Navamsa lagna could also give the same. You can read Jamini upadesa sutram or classics for more clues. -Warm Regards S.Prabhakaran - schinnas vedic astrology Sunday, September 15, 2002 6:22 PM [vedic astrology] Navamsa lagna correction Can the Gurus and learned throw some light on how to fix the navamsa lagna. Rectifying D-1 ascendant degree mts. 1) Kunda method : The longitude of the ascendant when multiplied by 81 and after expunging multiples of 360 should give the longitude of the birth star or 10th or 19th. 2) Navamsa Dwadasamsa Method: If each navamsa is devided into 12 equal parts of 16 mts 40 sec. Then we get Navamsa Dwadasamsa. Male birth takes place in male navamsa dwadasamsa ( male rasis ) Female birth takes place in female navamsa dwadasamsa rasis. This was written by Sri K.S.Gopinath in the Astrological Magazine November 1997 issue. Then we can go for Navamsa lagna. Siva.
Guest guest
I have responded to this post in 17385. My rasi ascendent longitude fails your Kunda method. So I believe this implies need for time rectification? (My birth star is Uttar Bhadrapada (uthiratadi in tamil). -Siva. vedic astrology, "sivagnanalingam" <sivatheva@a...> wrote: > vedic astrology, Sanjay Prabhakaran <sprabhakaran@s...> > wrote: > > Om Gurave Namah, > > Dear Siva, > > Navamsa shows up inherent traits of the person, Look at the trines > of of Navamsa lagna to see the different abilities of the person. > Like Sun/Moon in trines could show a musician of vocalist, Sun in > Navamsa lagna a person interested in Political work ; Sun in 5th can > give Gita knowledege etc, Moon a writer, Jupiter a person interested > in shastra and knowledge in general, Mercury good business skills, > Saturn a hard worker or traditionalist, Mars in could give logical > person, Venus could give keen reader or perhaps a poet?, Rahu could > give diabolic thougts, Ketu mathematics.
