Guest guest
Dear All, Of late moksha has been hotly contested. Several posts have suggested immersing oneself in Upanishads etc. I humbly suggest that knowledge of the writings of illumined sages of bygone days carries a rider. Firstly the reader must comprehend what the author has intended. Otherwise (s)he takes refuge in a veil of language that only leads to an abyss. The irony is that once turiya is attained, there is no need for such researches. Great Silence shall lead to greater bliss. I append something of this line of thinking by Kabir for interested parties: Jo Deese So To Hai Nahin (What is seen is not the truth) TranslationWhat is seen is not the TruthWhat *is* cannot be saidTrust comes not without seeingNor understanding without wordsThe wise comprehends with knowledgeTo the ignorant it is but a wonderSome worship the formless GodSome worship His various formsIn what way He is beyond these attributesOnly the Knower knowsThat music cannot be writtenHow can then be the notesSays Kabir, awareness alone will overcome illusion Many blessings, Peter Richard
Guest guest
daer mr. satya prakash i appreciate ur mails. i fully agree with u such subtle matter cannot b 'under stood' by our 5 senses. he is beyond rituals & karmakaand. god is beyond logic & wisdom. god is beyond mind & knowledge. god is even beyond ego. but, he is very near to love. once kabir had gone to meet a vithhal devotee ( don't remember the name of the bai). she was fighting over a piece of cow dung cake. kabir was disappointed. still he asked her," bai , why r u fighting for a cow dung cake ...what difference dos it make if u take other one?" bai handed over both the cakes to kabir & asked him to listen to what those cakes "say". kabir heard one of the cakes chanting 'sri krishna govind hare murari'. "that is mine"said bai. blessed r those who have bhakti prasaad. bhakti is always greater to gnaan. dhanna jaat had lord's darshan in three days where as purohit who had given him the shaaligram never realised god. those who know about udhav & brijgopi story will understand. when krishna sent him to give brahmgnaan to gopis , he himself was shaken to see suh intense love of the gopis for krishna. that love is the greatest ..much superior to bramgnan. but those cannot get his love ,who don't love his greation. we talk big about our sciptures , but how much we follow? we think of taking sanyas, becoming a sadhu........... first we should become a human being. how does ishta devta matter. a stone (saaligraam)was ishta devta for dhann jat . god appeared from a pillar for prahlad. why do we argue over words wriiten in differnet scriptures? people fight over ram mandir........have they ever tried to become like him? we r concerned whether people take bathe once or twice a week. but how much we r pure / clean...have we evr thought of this? prashant --- Peter Richard <kairos wrote: > Dear All, > > Of late moksha has been hotly contested.
