Guest guest
Thank you very much for the dicussion on "moksha." This was very informative, I wish I hade come to the office over the weekend so that I could have asked questions real-time. In any case, I'm going to prinout the discussion and study it at home tonight. Also, I've tried to read and understand "Bhagvad Gita" over and over again througout my life and the message became too deep for me so I gave it up. I also don't believe in "brokers of god" who are dime a dozen in India under many different names so I kept away from them. Now, this board seems to be a meeting place of highly educated people just like me who are also highly learned in the scriptures. I hope you guys don't mind me posting my questions related to the "soul" and the "journey of soul" on this board--despite being a Hindu, this has been a very difficult area for me to understand. Two questions--especially for Visti: Visti: You say that there are no "bad" souls. Aren't the people who rape, plunder, pillage and kill "bad" souls? aren't they guaranteed a re-birth to pay for their sins? question 2: How do I attain moksha: I've lived a righeous life with a great personal cost just becasue I felt there were certain things that were the right things to do. Also, I've donated and continue to donate substantial benefits to people who cannot care for themselves in India--I'm not doing this because of "quid pro quo" with God, I'm doing it because I can and there are people who are needy. Will this release my "soul" from the cycle of birth and re-birth? Also, I have Ketu in my 12th house and Exalted Jupiter who owns the 5th house and the 2nd house and has aspect on the 5th house and 1st house located in the 9th house. This Exalted Jupiter connects all the "dharma" houses either by ownership, aspect or placement. What is the significance of such a Jupiter, will it help me continue live a righteous life? Birth data: June 14, 1967, 5.30 pm, Bombay, India. Thank you all. MD
Guest guest
Vyam Vyasadevaya Namah Dear MD, Visti: You say that there are no "bad" souls. Aren't the people who rape, plunder, pillage and kill "bad" souls? aren't they guaranteed a re-birth to pay for their sins? Visti: Yes they surely are, but they are acting due to their minds, not their souls. The Atma can never get punished, only the minds, hence one keeps the mind after death and goes to various talas or narkas. Then again the Soul enters the womb and in the 7th month (pls correct), the mind enters the womb as well. question 2: How do I attain moksha: I've lived a righeous life with a great personal cost just becasue I felt there were certain things that were the right things to do. Also, I've donated and continue to donate substantial benefits to people who cannot care for themselves in India--I'm not doing this because of "quid pro quo" with God, I'm doing it because I can and there are people who are needy. Will this release my "soul" from the cycle of birth and re-birth? Visti: Sri Krishna explains the method, in the Gita. Thank you all.Visti: Your Dharma is excellent. You should focus more on your Chara-Atmakaraka = Sun. The 12th from Chara Atmakaraka in Navamsa, shows the Ishta Devata that will bring Moksha. As per your chart you have much bhakti towards Shiva, especially Sadashiva or Dakshinamurty. Keep up the good work. The mantra is "Om Namah Shivaya". Your chart is an excellent example of a Karma Yogi. Hari take a look at his Navamsa.. Istha Devata is also Atmakaraka! Now MD, your Sun is in the 7th, and this shows that you tend to dominate over your spouse, you should give her more room and realise that noone should be dominated, and noone can. Applauds to you. Best wishes, Visti.
Guest guest
Dear Visti: I bow to your knowledge of Astrology. I'm have had and continue to have serious problems in the "spouse" department--I feel it is uncanny that your were able to predict this "cold," i.e. without any knowledge of my background. Visti, Hari (Katti Narhari) has already helped me with my "spouse" situtaion; however, I'll e-mail you privately if I need more help. One thing, Hari told me that my Istadevta was "Laxmi" and to worship her. I believe you're telling me that my Istadevat is "Shiva," may I have a clarification if you have some time? I'm already worshipping Shiva and chant "Om Namah Shivaya, Om Rheen Namaha." Regularly. Visti: You are amazing! Your prediction on my having bahkti towards Shiva is even more uncanny. This is absolutely true, no one knows about my love of Shiva except myself and my dad with whom I've discussed building of a Shiv temple. One of my dreams is to build a Shiv temple where my parents live in India and connected to it I'm going to have a kitchen for free food for the poor as well as the devotees (I'm hoping more Indians making a truck load of money in the US donate something back to their motherland, especially in form of food and shelter which is much needed there). I'm going to put money aside for this and do the constuction when I retire and go back to India or when I have time. Thank you Visti for taking interest. Guest guest
Vyam Vyasaadevaaya Namah Dear MD, Hari is very knowledgeable, and the first thing he did was look at your Upapada, without a doubt. He's doing exactly as i have taught him, so any fault of his is mine. I looked at the Atmakaraka only. Why he said Laxmi, he can figure out. Its Shiva without a doubt. Lets look at Vimsamsa: +--------------+|GL Glk |Asc | |AL || | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | ||-----------+-----------------------+-----------|| | |Sun Sat || | | || | | || | | || | Vimsamsa | ||-----------| |-----------||Ven | D-20 |HL || | | || | | || | | || | | ||-----------+-----------------------+-----------|| |Moo Mar | | || |Mer Jup | | || |Rah Ket | | || |Mnd | | || | | | |+--------------+ 5th lord is Shiva showing your bhakti, and he's placed in the 4th house, showing your desire to build a temple for his worship. This will be one of your greatest tasks. You will suceed, just make sure the restuarant is there. Best wishes, Visti. - monmuk111 vedic astrology Monday, September 09, 2002 8:50 PM [vedic astrology] Re: Dear Visti, Kanupriya, Kautaliya, Sudhar_Srinivasan and others Dear Visti:I bow to your knowledge of Astrology.
