Dear PVN Rao garu,

It was nice to see your mail denouncing critics of

this subject. Some other list tells me that such

criticism is more fuelled by political agenda rather

than by any honorable intentions of honest discussion.

You wrote:

I am sure you are aware that String Theory is advanced

only as a *possible* unifying theory but still is not

considered as the final say on the matter. In addition

to the unverifiability of this theory (due to strings'

also being subject to uncertainity principle), I have

heard that there are many unanswered questions which

are barriers to its complete acceptability. Also, the

dimensions that it proposes are purely from a

mathematical angle and AFAIK have not been

demonstrated to possess any physical characteristics.

Ofcourse, what you are saying makes sense that all

this only shows how little we know and why we should

not assume that something works or not based on little

understanding.

I had a question for you: If you notice the lessons by

Sanjay-ji on Creation, he gives the rulership of

various planets over the lotuses in the sushumna-nADi.

Wouldn't that be the best way to explain why astrology

works? I don't think Jyotisha understands the planets

as they are in their different shapes (like Shani is

dark, while Saturn is a colorful planet). Different

deities such as Brihaspati, Shani et al are not

identical to the material bodies, but are the

presiding deities of same. And these planets are also

the presiding deities of various nADis and different

organs of our body. Because of which some sensible

relation can be made out to what happens with us vs

the motion of various planets.

Isn't that a plausible explanation? Ofcourse, it

wouldn't work with a guy who does not believe in some

Vedic basics, but for basics, this idea seems ok?

Thanks,

Nomadeva
