As long as one support sunken axioms, such as yavana = greek, AIT/AMT stand credited. There is no reference to "Manusmr`ti" in scriptures but "Manu Samhita" is mentioned. So, calling it as "Manusmr`ti" itself is a distortion. Now, Manu Samhita clearly states that it is detailing the prevailing social judicial scenes, various tribes that had lost their identities by the time of mahabharata or later, varnaashrama dharma widely practiced in the society, similarities in social conditions of Valmiki Ramayana and Manusamhita, mentioning of practices in Sarasvati river area such as piligrimages, cultures, ashrama-s, etc.). Tradition holds that the text is of pre-trEtA yuga, i.e., at least 7,000 years old. "yavana" is mentioned in Manusamhita as people adjoining AryAvarta's western border. Other names: chIna (north of Himalayas), kirAta (east). Thus, yavana was name given by Vedic ancestors (~8-10,000 BC) to people in Iran/Afghanistan area, far west of Saraswati river. After drying up of Saraswati (~1900 BC), links between AryAvarta and yavanadesha diminished, but story of yavana-s survived through purANa-s. When Greeks came (~300 BC), our people called them to as yavana-s, since they were from that general western frontier. But there were no Greeks during the time of original yavana-s(cf: Glaciers/Paleoclimatology). Word mlenchcha also appears in Manusmr`ti. vrAtya is another word. Both denote to people outside the varNa Ashrama but within and around AryAvarta only. mlenchcha-s lived far west of Saraswati river. They had no refined culture in the eyes of AryAvarta people. yavana-s were one such mlenchcha people. vrAtya-s were those who were born in varNa Ashrama families but deviated from the specific Ashrama Dharma-s, and thus began to live like mlenchcha-s INSIDE AryAvarta. All such distinctions have vanished by the time of mahABhArata war - varNa sankara was quite total by then, as it is now. Now everybody is either a mlenchcha or a vrAtya (NOT EVEN A shUdra) by conduct - all over the globe. yavana-s = greeks, as long as software programmers are mathematicians, logicians(99% of today computer prtogrammers, IT professionals will get negative grades in their Aristotlian "Computability, Complexity and Undecidability" CS/MA101, "Boolean circuit complexity") This is where we stand.
