Recently my life has become much more intense due to the transit of

Saturn & Rahu crossing exactly over my Mercury lagnesh in the 9th house

at 23 deg Taurus. There was also a solar eclipse at 25 deg Taurus on

June 6th. There has been a sudden business trip taken with my husband to

Montreal, alot of intense astrological work required by my clients, the

surprise marriage of my daughter out of the blue, and a brother-in-law

who has told us of his terminal cancer (very apparent in his chart). He

recently brought his 14 yearold twins to our house for a week to break

the news to them... very difficult & sad for all concerned.

 

Now some physical things have begun to happen to me: hives from stress

and the discovery of degenerated vertebrae in my neck. (makes sense to me

in the simplest way: lord of 1st Virgo in 9th Taurus -- nerves, neck)

 

Can someone look for me & see what I need to do by way of remedy (I'm

currently seeing a chiropractor 3 times per week, but feel I need some

jyotish (light!) in my life from outside of my own understanding.) if you

have time? I know everyone is very busy nowadays...

Dear Karyne,

Transits are excellent in timing important events, yet some transits do reoccur,

hence Dasa's can are necessary to compliment the timing.

 

Jupiter Dasa is running, its Badhakesh(lords the 7th house from Dual-lagna), and

is placed in the 5th house! Hence allready now we can identify the problem. This

indicates forgetting to worship the deity of past life!.. more later.

 

Jupiter is both debilitated and retrogade, in a trine, which can be very detrimental.

This happens in the 3rd from Upapada, hence putting it in Marana Avastha.

As Scorpio is an even sign(counting siblings in reverse), the elder brother of

the spouse, is suffering.

 

Jupiter is Gnati Karaka, hence confirming the suffering of close relatives. The

12th from Gnati Karaka in Navamsa, shows the remedy for the elder sibling. This

shows worship of Durga, the divine mother. The retrogade-debilitation, will make

this very hard to complete.

 

Jupiters placement in the 5th does highlight the children, and its subha argala

on the Putra Pada, will give some spontaneous events on their part, due to Jups

placement.

 

As for you, Jupiter is badhakesh and Parasara advises the worship of Istha

Devata during Jupiter Dasa. Jupiter also happens to be your Istha Devata!!!

 

I've chosen the Panchakshari mantra for envoking Krishna the Origin of the

Universal Truth, and teacher of the Bhagavad Gita; "Om Krishna Guru". This is

an excellent mantra. Picture Krishna holding the sacred Om Syllable in his

right hand, and the Gyana Mudra(Thumb and index finger touching each other)

with his left hand infront of his heart.

 

Jupiters graha dristi on the Lagna, shows that from the begining of Jupiter

Dasa, you have been very keen on improving your health. Jupiter also indicates

such arts as Yoga and such, which would help.

 

As Jupiter also lords the 2nd from Upapada, its VERY important that you begin fasting on Tuesdays.

 

You may note that Narayana Dasa of Scorpio began 25th May 2002.

Dear Hannah,

 

Yes, I am doing yoga everyday, and icing my neck afterwards. I had been

doing yoga for years before, but I had 2 surgeries on my legs, one after

the other (Nov 2000 & May 2001) that laid me up for a year and a half &

during which I think the problem developed. That was at the end of my

Rahu/Mars vimsottari during the end of my 2nd sade sati & at the end of

Cancer Narayana.

Thanks so much! Interesting, I've always been attracted to Durga, have her

murti on my puja in my meditation room. I've chanted "Kali Durge namo namah"

for 20 years! (When I entered Rahu mahadasa, I got initiation into my

spiritual life, which is pretty much on the Shaivite side of the pantheon) I

don't think I'd be able to convince my brother-in-law to do this, however, but

I'll chant for him from now on & for benefit of all. Since it's my chart, I

guess it's my intention to help in any way I can that is important for me & I

need to take this seriously.

 

All of a sudden it brings home how we really are one, and how our actions really

do affect others, not only on the physical plane, but on the subtle & subtler

planes one after the other... and our charts show this!

 

I will also work with the mantra you gave (on a tulsi mala?) & fast on Tuesdays

(the 24 hr period or sunrise to sunset?).

I just read your mail and wanted to share this with you.We

really are one..we are all from the same source only our egos stop us from

seeing this as all illusions will fail to hold us back from Gods path if we

did.The role of what we know as ''Maya'' is just this.The people around us

are only reflections of us and we need to look at them and learn our lessons

& our experience of "others" is so true. It's the hidden truth.

So far I've never had a vision of Her, but I feel Her within me, and an
