I

Thank you for your kind comments. My insights are not quite novel.

They are based on the age-old teachings of the Guru-Sishya parampara

that I belong to. My guru is Pt. Sanjay Rath of Puri, who belongs to

a tradition that traces itself to Sri Achyuta Dasa, one of the pancha

sakhas (five associates) of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

You may want to read my book "Vedic Astrology: An Integrated

Approach" and Pt. Rath's "Crux of Vedic Astrology: Timing of Events".

I am afraid you made some mistake. If you take all the 20 divisional

charts (including D-11), then the number of divisions in a sign comes

to 160 and not to 150.

Nadi is also called Chandra Kala Nadi. Chandra kala means sixteen.

Thus nadi is based only on the 16 divisional charts taught by

Parasara. If you mark the divisions as per these charts within each

rasi, you indeed get exactly 150 parts. D-5, D-6 and D-8 make no

difference, but D-11 does. If you include D-11, the number of

divisions becomes 160 instead of 150.

For those confused, the following link may be helpful. I clearly

explained this and gave the list of the beginning and ending

longitudes of each nadi last year. Please follow this link:

It's nice to know you.

BTW, SJVC (Sri Jagannath Vedic Centre) is organizing a workshop on

divisional charts at Hyderabad, India during Dec 2-10, 2002. Those of

you who are within a reasonable distance from Hyderabad may want to

attend it. For more details, please go to

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha
